Author | Help with faction |
Hi all, i started this game 2 days ago and so far it has been stressful but entertaining as well!
There's a few factions I like, but I've had a hard time deciding which one I should stick with and spend the most resources on, which I believe is holding me back in combats.
I'm posting here to ask for everyone's thoughts and opinions on what faction I should pick (hopefully permanently)
List:
Necromancer, I've got the first 4 unique units as well as the upgraded tier 1 units and the level 3 skill
Unholy Necromancer, same as above, I'm just not sure which is better overall.
Barbarian, I've got the first 4 unique units, no t1 upgrades, I have bought the level 3 skill
Shadow barbarian, ^^
Fury barbarian ^^
Tribal, I've got the first 4 unique units, no t1 upgrades, I have bought the level 3 skill
Wrathful Tribal, ^^
I'm on the edge with Dark Elf as well, it's more of of a fun faction for me as it's combat potential is usually worse in my experience than the ones stated above, as well as Elf and Knight
Any sort of feedback / Input is much appreciated! I'm looking forward to the responses. |
first of all welcome. its quite rare to get new players to the game. since you already have barbarian going i would highly suggest that one. 3 classes for the price of 1 and all 3 are decent to strong at all points in the game. elf and dark elf are considered top tier for pve which is basically hunts mg etc.
As you can probably tell this game is as much about building wealth and fighting enemies. certain guilds reward parameters on leveling them up like hunters guild rewards +1 attack per level. the goal of this game is to build up these guilds and create a strong character to be conpetitive in events and/or pvp.
For you specifically i would suggest trying to build up a stockpile of gold via enrolling (or donating if you want the quick and easy way) gold is everything in this game as it is required for artifacts to participate in battles to building more castles constructions. I would suggest you focus on playing and building up mercenaries guild, and acquiring a full set of gear to start playing watchers guild battles. watchers is limited to 3-4 a day so the sooner you can start doing that the better. |
for slayerofall:
Honestly I probably should have posted this BEFORE spending all my gold on the Necromancer upgrade lol, it'll be a while before I get enough gold for a good set of gear, atp hunts are the only thing I can do because even the lowest level campaign just crushes me for some reason, even with full gear!
I've picked Fury barbarian for now as I think the monsters are the most evenly spread (shadow has tons of ogres but no orcs) but feel free to point out anything I could do better with my current recruitment.
I also am wondering if there's any way I can check the abilities / passives of my faction (for example wrathful Tribal says something about a warcry but i have no idea what that is)
Thanks for the help so far! |
looks fine for now. you can see how your racial ability works on about the game>faction abilites and just scroll down, lots of useful information about each class
warcrys from tribal are just another kind of spell, like necro has raise dead. you have to have the castle construction built for it and be playing tribal though |
Welcome to the game, hope you're enjoying it. |
Welcome to the game! We have a discord server for the game as well if you're interested in joining. |

Welcome Ash. Barbarian is fantastic. Necro is not bad either, just very reliant on ghost miss in pvp :) I love necro when it gets shadow dragons but thats gonna be a while for you. |
You will have to explore all factions when you reach a high combat level. Therefore, any upgrade you make is definitely not a waste—think of it as an opportunity to learn how necro fights.
Good luck with the game. |
