The records could be put in an archive, it's not needed to erase them. They were the best with those game mechanics. |
Impossible hunts?
That isnt new.
Think of the last AI update: Cave demons use fireballs now, old records are impossible to beat.
Now there is a new update, less hunts - i dont think thats tragic... |
| I think this is a good thing. Spending over an hour to take down 20,000 zombies with 60 shrews is stupid and pointless. Destroys the spirit of hunting IMO. |
if the new ai make us do less hunt ,they will have to change hunter guild point .
lot of level 14 player , whit old ai ,was not able to get hunter guild level 8 or 9
what will append now ...max will be level 6 ?? |

Some of you may have read the I&S thread that created by Arctic..I post about the 1/3 and 2/3 hunt stuff and deleted by Arctic
What i want to say is: he did mention something about month hunt achievement..which is monthly record..after that particular month the following month is reset again
And he did mention some kind of reward for being the monthly record holder |

when I played against the farmers with only sprite left
they did not come to me like they always do they split and they cornered me in clever way I think this system is really improved

the liches did not attack me the last time with their plague
they choose to come to my troops instead of attacking cuz if they do attack they will harm their allied as well |

They are around nine AI improvments since the game had be created. Do you really think that having hunders of different hunt record would really make them something special? |
against hydras you could use a different tactic, let one fat hydra keep hitting your shrews, then the other hydra stacks cant hit you, and with your hit and run, you can hit them.
Are you sure they are not smart enough now to back out the 1 hydra and let the bigger stack attack? Wouldn't that be something? |

New AI will making many old HG record absolutely unbeatable. I hope admins do something with this, because new AI looks like bullshit. ((

Is it really a better ai? Or they just nerved the hit & run system for hunts, which was actually very unfair and also a bit foolish? The monsters dont go in range of aimed shot (crossbows) for example?
You could win hunts with 50k farmers only with shrews, fearies or gargoyles. At least if you had some luck and a good set. In fact, most of those Top Hunters were really freaks ;). So it doesnt change lots for the normal player. You can still hit & run. The game at the begin of the thread proofs it. But you wont be able anymore to kill a very unrealistic hunt!
I am DE and i also used it, but i thougt, in contrast to the game creater, from the begin, that it is a bit "stupid".
Of course most records are now carved in stone. They need to reset them or they will probably lose a lot of new players. Maybe they can make a list like "Old Top Hunters", where you can see the current Top Hunters. And they should keep their medails. But when a new player see, that its just impossible now to ever break a record, he may stop playing. And i dont want that. |
