For how long will this campaign be playable? as long as LWM exist
Not sure what people thing but the presence of so many potential battles where wearing no shop arts is a good thing. Previously it was mostly survilurgs that got some of this (in my mind it is a waste to use them on thieving or hunting).

I am not sure how this will impact on the market, but I would anticipate the cost of some occasionally very useful not shop arts may increase rather, so if you need some, I would get them now.

For example a thief cloak has a nice ranged resistance - useful if you lose to a shooty army
Ancient compass - 30% magic resistance - useful if you lose to a chaos magic army
Great temporal ring - 10% initiative bonus at the start - allows you to pretty much always get the first hit in (well against those with vaguely similar ini anyway.

Don;t forget you can equip a backpack slot on for these - I have only just remembered!

What other arts do people think could be useful for this that are non shop arts, and so have a chance of becoming more expensive on the market as a result of increased demand?
Well, leasing can once again become bussiness, where non-shop arts would be leased for sake of campaigns.
Just now I finished my campaign with 'Recruit' difficulty.
I won 18/18 didn't event lost 1 battle.
But still the efficiency rate is 87%. Why?
I think the efficiency is to do with what you do around the map as much as the fights (if not entirely) within that the fact that I have no clue what I am reading probably means I am completing battles in the wrong order.

For example I have only the boss fight to do, yet have 2 crystals in my inventory, and a farmer who I can talk to next to a lake full of crystals.

Logic would suggest that I need to give him the crystals or some such, yet cannot, and I reckon will result in me losing efficiency. Do I need to have collected all of the crystals prior to speaking to him for the first time? That is my current guess.

Did you have a similar number of things left outstanding?
Nope. I didn't have anything left to do.
I just found something interesting.

I did this campaign with barb,DE,elf+alt elf.
with efficiency range 88-100%.
I could see that a reward was given to me for DE faction(My first campaign with this faction).
Later for all other faction I did not get any reward for same difficulty.
Today accidently I switched to barb and clicked my % efficiency in campaign and it showed a 1% estate license and other armaments.)
I check all faction I completed this campaign and came to concusion:
You get reward for same difficulty with different factions(not sure with alt faction).
for Lord MilesTeg:

IMO efficiency depends on the number of stars you get for each combat as if you were playing a WG battle. For each campaign there are a total number of 54 stars so approximately 6% per 3-star battle. You can check it after you finished each battle
for liuker:

I can see the logic in that and is a decent conjecture - I suppose you could check it ( at least in part) by clicking an event (like speaking to the farmer) and seeing if the % increased or whether it only did it after a battle.

I would imagine you re correct.

However, the thing that bugs me is that the second crystal I collect (after going across the sea) goes to my inventory and then has no consequence to it. I could have done the other parts (to my understanding as obviously haven;t a clue what any of it is saying).

I can still click on the farmer by the lake and talk to him, but no action is possible, clearly therefore missing something or at least done something wrong, or sub optimally.

This is all fine since I can complete and do the battles anyway, but it may seem bizarre, but I would feel kind of wrong that if I cannot do all the quest bits I should have my efficiency reduced. Otherwise, well it doesn;t matter really does it, just keep clicking things till you have won 17 battles, then do the last one.
yet have 2 crystals in my inventory, and a farmer who I can talk to next to a lake full of crystals

I don't want to potentially mislead anyone, but my limited Russian allowed me to guess two things:

-the 2 crystals allow you to deal extra 1% damage and receive 1% less, they don't need to be used anywhere;
-I have a feeling that one item you deliver to the magician in the middle of the map before fighting him should be given to the farmer instead. If I understood correctly, the farmer at the pond is wishing for that item. Was that a crystal again? Sorry, I can't remember right now.

Maybe a Russian friend could step in and give us a couple of hints.
Ah, I did wonder something similar. Certainly I saw a + and a - % in the description on the crystal afterwards that would support your conjecture.

As memory serves it was some sphere - perhaps a crystal ball?

Thanks
Farmer just talk to him self and has nothing else to do with campaign,
I finished it twice at 100%, I am pretty sure he doesn't do or need anything.

The magician attacked me when I had the cristal ball.

Frankly, I wouldn't consider using any rare artifact beyond maybe the occasional ancient compass or something. There does not seem to be any significant difference for winning all battles or having 100% score, and the rewards aren't so appealing (doing 20 WG would bring much more gold/armaments).
The magician attacked me when I had the cristal ball.

Same to me, but I brought it to him voluntarily. I didn't re-run the campaign a second time yet, so I don't know if you can move around/through the magician and go talk to the farmer first. I was wondering if that can be done...
if you can move around/through the magician and go talk to the farmer first.

You can do this, farmer just talk he don't do nothing.
for Lord MilesTeg:
It will definitely impact the market prices.

I noticed that the Pirate set (Pirate-captain sword + coat + helm) has increased the cost from 500 per battle to 750 in only a few days.

Was able to take down some of the swords at 195 cost/battle, but now it is 295 or so.
You can do this, farmer just talk he don't do nothing.

Ok then, mi guess was wrong.
IMO Here are some of the recommendations for non-shop alternative arts.

Sets:
Pirate set (sword + coat + helm):
The sword has a similar cost of the relative shop sword (Ruby & Rebirth), but a whopping 13 stat points. With 5A, 4D, 1P and 1K (that's 11) and 3% initiative (that's 2). If you are a battlewise wizard, a holy knight, a darkness demon, or a charmer elf. NONE of the stats will be wasted. For other classes the spellpower and knowledge might be wasted, but 9 attack and defense plus 3% initiative (as well as 12% melee damage) made it superior over the corresponding shop sword.
The coat gives 4D, 1P, 1K, 2% initiative. When worn with the sword, you gain additional 1D thus making it superior to Firebender robe. You pay about extra 40 gold/battle for 2% initiative and I personally think that's a fair trade-off. The 7% ranged resistance must be better than 3% magic shield.
The helm is another story. The stats are superb with 4D 2K 2% initiative, throwing off the pathetic Firebender crown, but the cost is almost twice as much. If you do think that's worthy and knowledge is a key parameter, go for it. Otherwise a thrifty choice would be the shop art, be it Flame helmet or Obsidian helmet or Ruby helmet.
Comparison are based on CL 15, but lower levels have similar comparisons.

Temporal set (full set):
Sword: a simple 9A 2%ini 8%melee damage placed it over shop sword. A good choice for might factions. Cost about 20-30 higher than shop sword.
Helm: 6D 1%ini looks super, but without additional modifier it was more or less the same as Flame helmet, which is 5D with damage reduction and magic shield. Cost about three times. Not worthy unless you need a full set.
Armor: 6D 1%ini, not recommended for the *insane* price. But---
Robe: 5D 2P 1K, albeit no magic shield, can you believe you get 1 more spellpower than Firebender robe with lower cost? Grab it if you need one.
Foot: 6D 1%ini, yes that's expensive, but if you need full set bonus...
Shield: 6D 1%ini, same as other armors. Against powerful shooting enemies it works no better than Flame shield.
Cloak: 1D 2%ini with ranged and magic reduction. I compared this with Dragonwing cloak and found it a superb choice, with cost considered.
Bow: 1A 1D 1%ini with 15% ranged damage. Well that fully beats midnight bow, throws the Bow of light into trash can with only 2/3 of the cost. Five star recommended. You can switch between cloak and bow based on your and your enemies' factions.
Amulet: 3A 8%ini would mean you traded 1D for 2%ini compared with wardance amulet. Not a thrifty choice but when you need full set bonus...
Ring: If you think Attack and Defense are worth the same. The 1A 2D 4%ini ring is only 1% ini higher than Dragon's eye, completely beaten by Torment ring, but costs 2.5 times of their prices.
The other ring: If you need to take initiative, the 15% ATB bonus alone will be worth the 450-500 gold cost, not to mention its 5D bonus.
A full set of GT would be 2600-2800 per battle. Spend your money wisely.

Survilurg set: Oww... Forget it. Unless you are a nouveau riche.

Other artifacts:
Helm: Not too much worth mentioning. The BB helm (3D, 1K, 1%ini) didn't justify its price compared to Firebender crown or Flame helmet, or even Ruby helmet. Ogre-trophy sallet provided 10D but you need to trade off initiative and LOTS of MONEY. Undead knight helm is too costy as well. Plunderer helmet is for initiative lovers.
Amulet: Thief amulet (Yes that's CL 7) is five star recommended. With ~180 gold per battle, you get dual bonus to luck, morale, and 4% initiative. Throw away the crappy amulet of luck/fortune/horseshoe and grab one of this. Plunderer amulet only updates it by 1A and 1% ini but costs 3 times the money, a total joke. Another good alternative is BB charm. It provides the Attack bonus lacking from shop lucky amulets. Magical ball is a good alternative for lower combat levels. The ammy of 9 is also a choice when you need to squeeze squeeze squeeze for FSP.
Armor: Nothing to m
(continued)

Armor: Nothing to mention except Lodestone golem shell. That's a trade of 170 extra gold for 10% damage reduction and additional 12% magic shield, compared to Firebender robe. If you crazily need initiative, try BB armor or Plunderer armor.
Cloak: BB maskrobe/Plunderer cape for might factions and Battlemage guise for magic ones. Provided that you can afford them (the guise was crazily expensive). Even GH cloak provides superb ranged resistance at very low cost. Ladies can try butterflies, but I'd rather pick a GT bow instead.
Foot: BB boots/Merchant boots for initiative lovers and poormen. Heavy leader boots for ini lovers and richmen. Other boots are not worth mentioning.
Shield: No better shield than shop shield. Even the seeming superior Heavy leader's shield (they don't have any ranged resistance and magic shield).
Ring: Both BB rings are good alternatives for shop rings. General's and Commander's rings are heavenly priced but worth it. Just check if they are worth your need :) Ring of balance are very good choice for hybrid builds, good enough to throw your 1X5 ring(contradictions) into the trashcan. MH ring of dexterity is a choice for magic builds, 10 durability only.
Weapon: Although there are multiple alternative weapons to shop ones. I won't recommend anything other than Sword of cold and Flame dagger. Because almost everything else are less comparable due to their rarity (thus higher-than-normal price). When you can get ~280 on a pirate-captain sword, ~270 for GT sword, why bother get some Blade of relevation (7A 2D) at 450+ cost?
Other: Ancient compass provides 30% magic shield but itself is a shield without defense. For backpacks, use the best one you can get as it is a new slot unoccupied by shop arts. If you run short of playtime, you may also equip a flask of health in case you should lose.
