AuthorFaction skills
all play sensibly
[Post deleted by moderator cepruyc // ]
I am slightly confused, according to this since i am a level 1 necromancer (got over 20 skill points) should I not have a +1 to my base defense?

As it stands, I got a +1 attack from hunters (i assume), and a +3 knowledge (2 combat levels plus the level 1 default). So why am I missing a defense point?
Never mind. To answer my own question, the reason is because the +1 defense only applies to that faction and not my hero. So the necromancer troops gain the +1 defense but if the hero ever switched he wouldn't have it.
Does any hero get the ability to cast spells who have +1 spell power?

For example after levelling up an elf can increase this skill. But is it worthy, or he/she just wastes a point on it?
thank
For 25 No some factions come with starter spells, ie macic punch-wizard, earth spike-dark elf and raise dead-necromancer, all other factions need to build magic gild in order to cast spells which can be built level 5+, so untill you get to level 5 spending a point on spell power for an elf is a waste of time and remember you need 1 knowledge point in order to have mana to cast a spell
Thanks, now I see how it works... Than I rather increase my attack-skill.
how do i find the arena?

it dose make sense. but on the other hand, loser in a dual will get great xp/faction skill ratio than the winner. If you don't do pvp untill lvl 3, then you have advantage in faction skill and will win a lot pvp after that. Your losing opponents actually will catch up with you on the faction skill. So dose that mean you lose to win or you win to lose in the future?
Okay, So i'm wondering if faction skills are busted, my tropps are getting no bonuses, and i'm elf level 2, even in combat, the stats dont change, i wear no arts and theres no gains at all
So the best thing a player could do, is play various races? So if i started playing elf, gained a race level, then changed back to barbarians, then I would gain less damage from those pesky Forest Keepers?
Yes. Beware that we speak of faction level here, not combat level. Damage reduction is 3% per level. So if you play barbarian and are level 1 Elf, you indeed receive 3% less damage from forest keepers.
It sounds abit wierd that the game runs like that.. Hmm.. But 3% dosent sound like much.. Is it really worth switching to another Faction when you could be spending time bettering your "primary" faction?

Also, is the increased magic resistance the only thing Barbarians get? Im new to the game, so i dont know much about how balanced the other factions are compared to each other..
But as far as i can see, most of the Factions gain more or less a constant bonus, the Barbarians bonus is only active when someone uses a spell on them.. Not to mention the Dark Elves, which can negate some of or all of their resistance with just a couple levels in the Dark Elf faction..
barbarians also get a stunning blow ability when the hero hits a stack
When do he get that? As far as i can see, nothing happens when the hero attacks (besides the usual low damage)
37 At level 5, combat school level one (barbs no magic), the combat school gives stunning blow. It's a small stun, but every attack be the hero recieves it, and it can be very very useful.
So barbarians don't really have any advantages to start with? Just a magical resistance which is only useful when people use magic against them (except for Dark Elves)
*Looks puzzled at Tik* .... What's happening at replies 5,7 & 8 ?? I don't get it....

xD
