There should be something done with afker's. It has cost me roughly 5 battles already. It's only a waste of durability of my articfacts and it's getting annoying. :(
I know this has happen to some members already but this has got to stop.
All I can say is **** afkers. Why even joi a battle when your not even going to battle.
Solution? ---> banned for a limited time of days yeah?
-2 luck for an hour doesnt really teach them a lesson.
Well just expressing my thoughts. x(
but still not happy. |
I understand your frustration in the matter, and it seems that you have been dealt a bad set of hands with your 5 battles there.
I don't think a ban is a proper punishment for... Let's say having a poor connection for 5 minutes... Is appropriate?
I know some people sign up for battles and then leave on purpose, and there's probably some people trying to get fast exp by "cheating" as well, but most of the time there's some sort of explanation for AFKers.
Some reasons are good, and some are bad. A crazed mother cutting the net-cable, your boss deciding to chat with you for 10 minutes, your younger brother playing with the scissor and injuring himself, you REALLY have to go, your wife's water just broke... Endless of possibilities.
-2 Luck feels quite appropriate. |
ahaha you got me when you said ''your wife's water just broke''. Well okay then but how many time should I suffer from this AFKers I will never know.
Thanks for replying to my post just wanted to vent a little. xP |
3 Maybe for now it would be a good idea to write down the nicknames of those AFK'ers. Then, when you see a group challenge, until there are enough people for you to be the last member, and enter only if there are no people from your list.
Agelage is right though, there are hundreds of reasons why real life might make you forget about a combat in the game for a number of minutes - enough to piss off other players. This -2 luck penalty is neither fatal nor too mild, just the thing if you ask me. |
an idea would be that if a playre is afk his troops would be controlled by computer so the team with an AFKler isnt doomes directly |
afk'ers should be shot.. :) (not really) but they are annoying, nearly as bad as ppl who blame others for losing a battle |
Yeah I agree with as the dead, or atleast be controlled by the person that has stayed and not an afk. x] |
one time AFK can happen, twice maybe but third time(and more) shouldn't happen.
Maybe its possible to keep a counter?
first time AFK 1 hour -2 luck second time 1 day 3th on week or something? |
Currently, -2 luck for 1 hour is nothing. It's barely more than what you have to wait until your life and mana replenishes anyway. You miss what, 1 hunt? And since you don't wait the end of the battle to start regenerating, you may even be ready before your battle comrades.
Tommieknocker had a good idea, here is what I propose:
AFK 1 -> cannot join a battle for 24 hours.
AFK 2 -> cannot join a battle nor hunt for 72 hours.
AFK 3 -> account suspended for a week.
After each week without AFK, the AFK level decreases by 1.
Leaves plenty of time to get a decent "internet connection". I've a poor internet connection myself and never went AFK. |
in my "playing life" here, it happened to me a couple of times to go afk... it happens that while i'm playing at office the boss comes in and i have to close everything.. (usually i manage to come back in time) and it happens when i'm at home that some comes to make me waste my time....
i know how boring it is... i've been afk myself 2 times but had about 15 times an afk in my team.... it's boring, f@@@ingo boring.... but i think there are worse things to fight than someone that goes afk sometimes....
sure, if it is a habit, that should be avoided... but 2 afk in one week (in - maybe - 70 battles, or even more) is not a habit...
maybe the "punishment" should be related to "sequencial" afk, and maybe the "fee" could be in exp... if you go afk once, you lose exp 100*combat level, second time (one after all) 200, third 300 and so on... a 5 level player will start thinkin very well about going afk, if every time he loses a minimum of 500 exp ;)
that's how i see it ;) |
Cant the game developers make an Square were we can buy rotten apples for like 1 gold and throw on people that have the -2 luck ??? |
Kotrin
Such a system is way too harsh... As in WA-A-AY too harsh.
-1 to the idea. |
my idea for AFKers is take some of gold & exp. from them = 100. |
I was afk once yesterday but It was my browsers fault. Couldnt connect and it gave me connection problems. I see alot of people have such issues. So i would only give extra punishments if a person is afk in battles in a row. Or they should make a check jus tbefore the battle starts so everyone confirms that they are there. |
Well I thought it out, and the one reason that I've came up with is when one player goes ''Away From Keyboard'' then the whole battle should be canceled or terminated so that way no one loses anything and that the durability of a weapon is not lost too.
Good idea yeah? x]
please think this over mods. |
12. Why?
You can still enroll in factories, buy and sell in the market, play tavern games and even hunt.
AFKers spoil the fun of this game for all good players here. I can't count myself the number of battles I lost - or even won - because some players involved went AFK.
I stopped playing group battles for a while and when I'll be too bored to hunt I may well drop this game.
The sheer number of requests for harsher penalties should make the administration shudder. It will be time for the administration to decide if AFK penalties are too strong or too weak. For the moment they say it's fine and okay for poor people playing with a lame network connection from outer Mongolia. I don't accept it. At a point you have to decide if the system is made for people with an alleged weak Internet connection, or for regular players. |
i think a good idea would be to put in your personal description if u are likely to go afk for any reson. |
16.
You are willing to spend a week perfecting your LG score? Playing cards?
And if you get two glitches during one week you can't even hunt?
Well I'm sorry, but that doesn't sound like fun to me. And if you really think enrolling on the mine is such an essencial part of gameplay, well... I've got nothing to say for that.
That said, I have nothing against penalties like taking gold, exp, even skill, since AFKs are happening more 'n more often, to the point of becoming a major game problem. |
Yes AFKers are ruining the fun of this game =P |
