AuthorHunting FAQ
hi ! i am a new player. i wanted to know how the hunting system works. i read all the previous topics about it and could not understand a few points :

1. what is the rate at which new monsters spawn in different parts of the map ?

2. is there any way we can search for these monsters ?

3. what is the hunting basically ? i somtimes see monsters waiting to be attacked in the map. we can only kill these monsters ? or spawn our own hunts or somthing like that ?

it would be helpful if someone can please answer them. question may sound stupid i guess but i am a total newbie at this game :P

thanks a bunch !

1. The rate does not depend on the region. If you are victorious in hunt, the next time you encounter those creatures thy will be at larger population, which is:

P=p*1.69^y
P for new population
p for the population you defeated
y for skill points that the main hunter (not the assistant, if any) gained in that hunt.

The most common case is if you hunt alone and get 0.5 skill points, in that case P = p*1.69^0.5 = p*1.3
So, if hunting alone, the creature population will increase by 30% each time you defeat them.

2. No way. The only way to hunt something is to wait for that something to spawn =) The spawn time is a random occurrence within a [40min ; 60min] interval (random each time). For combat level 1-2, that interval is [40/3min ; 20min].

3. Well, fighting those creatures that spawn on the map is hunting. Assisting someone in hunt at the Group battles page is hunt too, but you need to have Hunters' Guild level 2 to assist someone.
I had the impression that after several defeats against certain opponents, or just by passing by repeatedly the same creature group, the number of monsters decreased.

Is it possible or am I just deluding myself?
There is a chance to meet 1/3, 1/2 or 2/3 of your current "P". The probability is low and inconstant, details are not revealed.
what?? Arctic made a mistake???

you need hunters guild lvl 2 to ask for assistance,
you need huntersguild lvl 1 to be able to assist someone who asks for assistance.
