I must agree that the donators can and should have advantages in normal battles/hunts/merc etc. However, those with diamond upgrades in tournaments have a serious advantage (even more as the advantages greatly differ depending on class and upgradeable unit). Restricting tournaments to non-diamond units would also give an incentive to the normal players to donate money in the future the moment they win diamonds and are able to upgrade their units themselves. Whereas ppl who already have upgraded just keep the diamonds for the next upgrade and/or change it into money.
But that are just my 2¢ |

Actually, even "no arts" isn't a fair thing to ask, since the game is balanced with full-arts in mind. Though I'd like it if we could set the amount of AP required to enter a PvP battle. |
I NEVER told that diamond upgrades is unfair... i just told that if we bring diamond upgardes to a tourney, that is unfair .... that's all .. there is the time when we have to use diamond upgardes, there is the time when we should not use any diamond upgrades ..

They can use them in real battles, but not at TOURNEY, they can use them at group battles, duels, mercenaries, and huntings but once again not at the TOURNEYS ... that's all so no contradictions ....

why they can use at GB,duel or others but not at the tourney

Of course there should be some though rules not to bring diamonds coz the battle will never be balanced it they fight again non-diamonds heroes .... they are not match against non-diamonds
At other battles, of course we cannot (for now) restrict other players not to bring diamonds at all , we can always just wish them not to bring them ... that's all ... I mean they can - at other battles - bring all diamonds but at the tourneys, there should be restrictions for that ....
Admin, please listen to me for the rules not to bring any diamonds upgrade at TOURNEYS ... thx a lot

yes, diamond troops at some lvls do unbalance the game. However there needs to be some incentive for donators and donators need to get something for their money (atm the real cash -> game cash ratio is too low, and thief invitations might be just a bit too expensive for most players, which leaves diamond troop upgrades).
Thats one of the designflaws though the game designers should give donators other, and better incentives for donating. As for the diamontroop upgrades the only thing that needs to be changed really is to allow whoever starts a groupbattle to set a flag that does not allow people to join with diamondupgraded troops... if that is done the problem is solved.
its a very very easy change in the code, that solves a lot of problems and makes the game more enjoyable for everyone.
as for tournaments, there ought to be tournaments where everything is fair game and those where it is not... this will probably be the case too in the long run... |

Main purpose of the administrators: To get the maximal amount of money they can get.
Methods of the administrators to get money: Encouraging donations but give some balance so that normal players won't quit the game (if all normal players quit the game, the game will die).
Conclusion: Once the game is not so unbalanced that most non-diamond players quit the game, the administrators will maximize the advantage of diamond players. |
That's so funny to see all the guys bragging around about buying upgrades for 20-30$. Would you buy the upgrades if they cost 2-3k? Not? Then hide your little e-peens and sod off.
Buying those upgrades is like making a deal with chinese gold farmers. There are always so called "ebuyers" in MMORPGs, but they will never ever deserve any respect from good players and hardly ever get into good teams. |

Hell look at the Russian server and how diamond upgrades play there. You’re not going to get this so stop crying and learn how to play. Jeez it's like arguing with 6 year olds. There not going to implement Diamond restriction options so whine all you want but ultimately this is a BUSINESS. If you think it’s easy to run this without money then make a game yourself and host it while paying for designers and coders. Your whole views are flawed, leave and look for another game but rest assured that wherever you look it will take donators to keep a game with this kind of community and complexity alive and those donators will always get some leverage. |
Yeahh better if diamonds tradeable at market .. or there should be a mining for diamonds .. will be balanced i think .. every one can buy them and upgrades their troops with diamonds ...
But once again i want to say that I RESPECT AND APPRECIATE the game developers and this game itself, though i do not donate any money to this game ..
