AuthorSkillpoints - what are they good for?

Hello, just got 20 skillpoints in Dark Elf and got "level up" in it. (Dark Elf: 1. The skill in other races is 0)

Now I'm wondering if there's any use for leveling up this skill? Or is it just to show that you have played a lot with Dark elf..?
