Author | Do Racial Abilities and Racial Skills Stack? |
Please see topic line.
For example, I am a level 2 Knight, and a level 1 Demon, all else level 0. If I am currently playing as a Demon, will I get +2 defense of troops and +1 attack of troops, or will I only get +1 defense of troops?
Also, will my knight "Training" ability be useful for my demon characters? I know that my "Gating" ability will not be useful to my knight troops, however, since they are not "demonic," and that is required for Gating.
Thanks! | no, only the racial skill of the faction you are playing :P
else it would become a little too overpowered :P
for the other racial factions you do get 3% damage reduction for each level | Thanks Sven. Thought so too, just wanted to make sure I wasn't "missing out!" ;-P
Now what is this you're saying about the 3% damage reduction for each level? | For example, if you play as a demon, and you have the racial skill of a knight on level 3
Then if you fight any knight (duel, group battle, caravan etc, but not swordsmen in hunts) they do 3*3=9% less damage to you | Oh great! Thanks! | that reduction will also reduce magic damage. for example, my druids cast lightning on your troops, but u have racial elf lvl 1. usually, my lightning does 20 damage, but now since u have elf lvl 1, the damage reduce by 3%.
More complex calculation of the magic if u have DE racial skill and the magic caster is DE cos DE have magic piercing. | don't think so,
magic piercing is only for "magic shield" stuff like the barbarian trait,
this is a damage reduction thing not a Magic Shield thing | damage reduction for all damage, including magic | yep,
here's the DE ability
Dark elves have a unique ability to inflict extra damage with magic to creatures that have magic shield, and even pierce through magic proof and immunity.
so since we don't get magic proof and such, the damage would be calculated just as Sven91 said, (3*Faction Lv)/100= damage reduction | PheonixHunter is right, DE's magic piercing does not negate the 3*fsl damage reduction. Which is quite obvious, there is nothing to pierce through, is there? =) |
