| Best way possible is to get early upgrade and start at level 6 - it's the easiest. Generaly I'd suggest starting thieving with elf when you get efks, or when you're close to getting them. |

It makes sense to start thieving as early as possible with upgraded 2nd-tier units when nearly everyone else still doesn't, doesn't it?
Don't really understand your second question, but the game is such that you have to be at least level 6 to do thieving. |

I joined TG as level 6 knight. I found caravans really easy (with full arts). Now I am almost TG lev.4 but recently I also became level 9 knight and NOW it is difficult. From level 6 to 8 it was no problem to crush caravans - I lost some of course but win-loose ratio was pretty good.
Level 9 is a different story. That's why I recommend all knights to enter TG as soon as possible, the best at level 6, to score as many TG points as possible until level 9 that is terrible.
Other fractions - I do not know. |
I just checked my log:
Last 10 caravans at level 8: 8 wins
First 10 caravans at level 9: 1 win
That change really hurts ;) |

My very first 30 caravans at level 6: 27 wins, 3 loses.
That's why level 6 is easy (for a knight) in my opinion. |
