| How do I get items such as Toadstools and Meteorite Shards? |
| You need to complete mercernaires guild quests. |
| Oh. Are they very hard at Level 5? I tried one at Level 3 and the monsters had like 1,500 hit points each. |
They are very hard. The recommended starting level is Level 5, although experts have done certain missions at level 1 (or so I heard).

I've tried several Merc Quests and even at Level 5, I have yet to complete any one of them. They are ridiculously hard. I would even say impossible. I know some people have said they have completed Merc Quests, but at this time, I find them impossible to complete.
My opponents consist of several Level 7 Creatures & dozens of other creatures at various levels. Mostly high levels. Impossible. I know some show off their items, but those Merc Quests are so hard, I don't know why I waste my time trying to complete any of them. :( |

I won about 15 at lvl 5 and that was before AP rule, so I had no arts. |

I beat a quite a number of them at lvl 5, and I remember I got a few MG points at lvl 4. My purpose isn't to brag, but I'm trying to point out that you just need to know which ones are beatable and which ones are plainly impossible. It helped in the old days without AP rule; because I just tried every MQ that came along, since it was virtually cost-free. So among the numerous losses, I still managed to get a couple of wins.
But that was before I learnt of those MQ guides you get to see around the forums these days (so refer to them!), and I had to try everything out myself. =\ |

| I just got level 6 and at level 5 I had completed 50+(of course I'm a wizard, so I have an advantage at low levels). The Mercenaries' Guild FAQ posted earlier is very very useful. And the easiest quest is Vanguard of Wizards, you can surely complete some levels there. Good fights then... |

If you want to see some more combat logs after reading the FAQ poasted above, you can also either have a look at my combat log or head over to the Warriors Guild forum. There's a recent thread there with logs of some beginner merc quests.

Level 5.....Ummm... Better check my Combat log & Find the quests i have won in Level 5 , this may help you.
Change of getting elements is very rare.
