What God5end's trying to say is that you can Defend, and try to shift your turn to just the right point in the Initz Bar to cast a certain spell.
Like casting Delay just before the stack of Hydras go to push it back after your units get to attack it (so it does not recover retal), Raise your stack of 1 Vampire just before it goes so you'll attack with 10 vamps instead of 1... etc.
Of course, Defending may not move you to the desired spot on the Initz bar, it's just an option besides the Wait to see if you can shift yourself to a more advantageous position. |

You're correct on this. Though in some cases, the hero's attack can be quite useless, and the pressing of the space bar would save time, such as in raids, whereby the first few levels for lower-tiered units won't warrant much need for attention, esp if your combat level is high.
If u want to skip ur action better use WAIT not defend, coz the defend is gonna reduce ur Exps and Skill POints
You seem to be missing my point, which was elaborated by TakeSister. Reduction, or to be more specific, loss of chance to earn additional xp will only take place if you lose the particular hunt, or pvp. |

Wait can be used by hero's to make the ghosts hit by some powerful units when there are 2 misses in a row and we dun want to waste the opportunity.
