Some clans offer you a free membership if you have qualities they want such as good smithing or/and enchanting skills.
Otherwise, they usually require you to pay because it costs the clan leader to send an invitation. |
not to mention that join fees also help pay for the large initiat investment clan leader made when making the clan, and/or clan benefits, etc.
