| with this site ive been getting disconected from hunts then mySQL server or somthing keeps coming up and i cant enter the hunt again....its been like this for a few days now |

| Quit omg-ing, they will need 2 days if its a big update. You have no idea how hard these things are if you havn't done them yourself. You can either choose between a simply rough unenjoyable update that takes 2 min or a fine well made event like the Dwarf Invasions that takes 2 days. |

You are absolutely right. I am a college student majoring in Computer Science and I can tell you that programming is VERY unpredictable. A project that you think is a quickie can take a LOT longer than you expected. So I will wait patiently and see what the admins have in store for us. I would rather have them take their time and produce a quality update than hurry up and give us something of lesser quality. |

You can do it in 2 hours? So I suppose you already have a site with 1300 players using flash applications, when you know how much it takes to update such site. Because I dont know really.. |

While it may be true that developing an update is not easy, there should not be any disturbance to the game while developmental work is ongoing.
It is common industry standard to have at least 2 servers. One for developmental work, and another (production server) for users.
It should have been thoroughly tested on the developmental servers before anything is imported into the production environment, and the implementation of the updates on the production environment should involve minimal disruptions. |
