Author | which one is better? I10E10W10A10, or F10E10W10A10 |
This 2 enchants, which one will bring better dmg? |
4 hunt and merc fire better
4 pvp and thief ignore better |
sorry for asking later ... but why for hunt Fire is better ?? and why for pvp ignore is better ?? |
#3
hunt and merc monsters have low defense.
pvp and thief high defense |
hunt and merc monsters have low defense
Unless it's one of those monster quests. |
I am still a little bit confused.
Lets take lvl11 players' fight for example, all full arts. I just pick one battle check them A/D
Enchanted Gargolytes 29/25
Cyclops 56/40
Wolf Raiders 43/28
Vamp 46/26
shrew 35/19
orges 48/30 etc...
Damage = N * RND(min, max) * [1 + 0,05 (A-D) ] * [1 - 3*Y/100]
treat dmg = Z * [1 + 0,05 (A-D) ], then
I10E10W10A10, dmg = Z * [1 + 0,05 (A-D*0.9) ]*1.3
F10E10W10A10, dmg = Z * [1 + 0,05 (A-D) ]*1.4
Suppose same creatures fight againt themselves.
I10E10W10A10 F10E10W10A10
EGargo 1.725 1.68
cyclops 2.6 2.52
wolf R 2.457 2.45
Vamp 2.769 2.8
shrew 2.4635 2.52
orges 2.665 2.66
Seems, if average A=~40, A-D =16,17 is a line, below it, I10E10W10A10 better, above it, F10E10W10A10 better. But how can you balance them?
Correct me if I am wrong. |
You make it too complicated. I'll put it in simpler terms for you.
For each point of enemy defense you can ignore, you increase damage by about 5% (roughly). Thus, if the enemy's defense is 20, then I10 ~ F10.
If defense is higher than 20, then I10 is better than F10. If lower, then F10 is better.
The formulas are slightly different depending on whether your creatures' Attack is higher or lower than your enemy's Defense. But for a quick estimate, this would be a good guide. |
Hmmm .. I see that many top players like Kiaune, etc use Fire rather than ignore ... :) I prefer Fire ... :) (sorry no offense) |
For each point of enemy defense you can ignore, you increase damage by about 5% (roughly when A-D ~ 0).
But if A-D = 20, then each point of enemy defense you can ignore, you increase damage by about 2.5% (roughly). |
For example, Cyclops 56/40 attack Vamp 46/26 (def >20),
however, I10E10W10A10 3.419; F10E10W10A10 3.5 |
Ignore def is better...without a doubt--as you cannot defend against it.
Elemental damages you can defend against with elemental enchants on armor (unless I am mistaken).
Cheers,

But if A-D = 20, then each point of enemy defense you can ignore, you increase damage by about 2.5% (roughly)
If your attack is higher than enemy's defense ( A-D > 0), then my estimate is accurate. It's only when A-D < 0 that the formula gets a little fuzzy; it's no longer a linear scale, so you can't say x% damage per point of defense. |
This might be right.
Besides magic shield concern, it is hard to balance.
F(A/D)= 0.115D - 0.05A -1. |
A-D < 0, the formula is not the same one but
Damage = N * RND(min, max) * [1 - 3*Y/100] / [1 + 0,05*(D-A)]
Only if A-D close to 0, your 5% damage per point of defense is accurate. |
I10E10W10A10, dmg = Z * [1 + 0,05 (A-D*0.9) ]*1.3
F10E10W10A10, dmg = Z * [1 + 0,05 (A-D) ]*1.4
Are you sure about these formulas? Can anyone confirm? If these are right, then I have to rethink my estimate. |
Ok ill put the answer simply for all of you.
I10E10W10A10
Is better for high tier creatures and pvp.
Reasons it allows you to deal same damage ish as attacking lower tiers.
F10E10W10A10
For low tiers like goblins up to maybe liz cav |

Please. Anyone diligent enough would have read this page. Verbal himself already quoted that on #14. That's NOT what I'm asking. |
#18..
Then... isn't it already obvious?
And BTW, I didn't answer your question. Just providing a link to the official rule. That's all |
Then... isn't it already obvious?
It is obvious to you, just from reading that page, that the extra elemental damage is based on the adjusted damage and not on the base damage? Do tell. |
