if confusion reduce 50% dmg for range or retal
how much will it affect succibi while shooting back?
is it (100%-50% range)*(100%-50% retal)=25% regular damage or only reduce 50% of regular?
(I mean compare with before and after casting confusion,distance penalty not concerned. ) |

if confusion reduce 50% dmg for range or retal
Only 25%, 40%, 55%, 70% are possible.
Confusion will not affect succubi's melee retal btw :)
Err, wrong!
See:
"Confusion
The spell makes target stack of enemy creatures forget what they are doing on the battlefield. Part of the stack's creatures do not retaliate or shoot." |

of course 50% is an assumption to make calculations easier
is it (100%-50% range)*(100%-50% retal)=25% regular damage or only reduce 50% of regular?

so anyone knows the answer? |
In theory the calculation is simple. I'm not a demon and I haven't tried anything, but the calculations should be easy.
For example if it's 25% confusion and there's a distance penalty of 50%.
100% * (1-25%) = 75%
75% * (1-50%) = 37.5%
So it's 37.5% of regular damage. |
for Pantheon:
thats not exactly the question,
Part of the stack's creatures do not retaliate or shoot
since succubi can retaliate by shooting, so the spell effect works twice or just once |

It should work for the entire duration of the spell. |

It seems you still don't get it.
Let's say a kinght hero cast confusion at basic level (40% confusion) on my succubis for 5 turns. His x-bow stack comes next and is 5 squares away from my succubis (no range penality for easier calculation).
He shot at the succubis and they retail with a ranged attack.
Will the damage be :
1)(100% - 40%) *(100% - 40%) -> confusion stacks shooting reduction and retail reduction
2) (100% - 40%) -> confusion doesn't stack. |
(100% - 40%)
effect is applied once. |
To add some extra info to this thread about mistresses ( not exactly on-topic but its kinda relevant:P ) :
If you do confusion on mistresses and they shoot you, only the first shot will do reduced damage. The jumps from Ricochet shot will not be affected by confusion at all ( this has been observed in action ). |
