Hey guys,
I'm sort of in financial trouble and am wondering if anyone would be able to give me a Thieves Guild invitation with payments of only the weapons I get from the Thieves Guild. I plan to do the TG in the holidays, a week away, starting on the 27th of June. Also, I am wondering if that person (yet to come) would be able to look past the fact that I will be taking a loan.

| The thief guild Syndicate has an option were you can pay with 2 Arts. You should know, that you have to do 120 successful ambushes, so only one set of Arts will not be enough for the whole thieving. |

I don't think Lyrill meant 2 sets of arts to wear. He meant that u need to return 2 set of thief arts for the rental of the TGI.
Anyway, realistically, you really need to have about 50,000 to start thieving at lvl 7. You have to remember you WILL get to combat lvl 8 before you get to TG2. And you'll need to spend a LOT of gold to get all them upgrades for lvl 8.
But if u are gonna start thieving anyway, then I wish u all the best. :) |
He has +209516 to get to lvl 8.
If you do only TG fights it's very likely to go to level 8 after you get to TG level 2.
As for artifacts, the difference between dragon shield and defender shield is not that significant. You can try using from time to time the defender shield.

She meant the durability of the set of arts will be wearying off somewhere at the half of the 120 successful ambushes. And it is true. I agree with you as well, one needs at least 50k gp to reach TG lvl2 asap. One can fight with arts from previous level in the ambushes at the next level. The problem is the castel upgrades which are mandatory for TG.

I suggest you to wait a little bit with TG. Get some money firstly and after that you can start (you will need about 140k gp for castel upgrade at level 8 and 50k gp for reaching TG2). I don't suppose you will get any TGI now because you present a financial risk for those who rent at the moment. |

how much xp does a succesfull thief ambush give?
I had thouht about trying to go thief soon, but if i will go to lvl 8 b4 i reach thief guild lvl 2 then i have to rethink my plans.
And do you have to go full ap every time? |

The exp is dependant on the strength of the victim you defeat.
It is highly suggested you go in at full AP since you will most likely need it to guarantee a win, esp against a AI caravan. |

I started to thieve less than 1/4 into my lvl 7, and got to combat lvl 8 after about 80-100 ambush victories. Like some above have said, the xp depends on a few factors, but generally, u can expect b/t 2-4k xp per ambush victory. So chances are (99%), you WILL get to lvl 8 before you get to TG2. And that's where the problem begins, coz like what CGSMCMLXXV (what a nick! :p) said, you'll need about 100k just to do the lvl 8 castle upgrades. :/
And that will leave u little, or no gold, left to continue thieving successfully.
It can be done, just have to plan it meticulously. :) |
