Author | Selling Resources for Work |
Hi all,
I'hv read that for some facilities, when there are no vacancies, you can sell some resources in order to enrol immediately. I was just at a facility where it's out of slots, but I can sell some resources to it. I have 2 Qs -
1) How do I know how many I need to sell to open up 1 slot for me?
2) Wot if after I sell the resources and a slot open, and someone comes in and take the spot?
Thanks in advance. |
3) As long as I can sell enough resources (the box where u can type in the number of resources you wanna sell is 'typable'), I can sell to get work?
Thanks. |
you can sell some resources in order to enrol immediately.
1: if there are no vacancies you just can't work.
2: you buy resources not sell them, this works when the factory is out of money to pay but has free spots.
3: you need to buy as many resources so that the factory balance >= your wage, eg you get paid 510 per hour, you need to buy 3 wood/ore or 2 sulphur mercury etc.
4: ofc, your spot can get stolen by others... it's really annoying at times in yl, and i have been forced to buy 10 sulphur at peak hours! |
1a. Slots do not open up if the facility has 0 vacancies
1b. If there are vacancies, and gold, and only "raw materials" are missing, you need to just complete the order. Look at Units/Hour, and you will see how many units are needed per hour of employment. So if there is a 2, and there is 0 in stock, you sell 2 of that item, and hope there is enough gold for you to enroll afterwords, etc.
2. Tough luck, it happens all the time.
Cheers,

So u ermm.. buy or sell.. ? |
you sell if the factory has the following:
1: vacant spot
2: money to pay
3: lack of resources
--------------
you buy when the factory has
1: vacant spots
2: no money to pay,
in this case, you are basically buying stuff giving the factory money which the factory will pay back to you as wage... |
For example, sulphur dune is almost always out of money, so I just buy a sulphur or two, and then enroll. |
Alright. Since I'm at this topic, I see this in a typical facility:
Balance : 799
Area : 12
Wage : 190
Workshift ends at: 18:50
Workers list (2): XXX, YYY, ZZZ
Free posts : 34
So,
Balance : Amount of gold the facility has.
Area : What is this?
Wage : Amount of gold the facility pays to each player
Workshift ends at: 18:50
Workers list (2): XXX, YYY, ZZZ
Free posts : What is this? |
Type Output In stock Price You can buy : 1
1) And also, what's "Output"?
2) I just browsed a few facilities and I see them all at 1. Is it always 1?
Thanks. |
Area : The number assigned to the building for reference purposes.
Free posts : Number of vacanies left |
Free posts: how many workers can enroll per hour
Area: Just where the facility is, nothing important
How much resources to sell?
Units/hour is how much is needed, it has to be your laborer bonus modifier(3x for example) x the needed amount. When you need to enroll at leather boots factory, you have to sell about 6 leather there first. |
1) And also, what's "Output"?
2) I just browsed a few facilities and I see them all at 1. Is it always 1?
1) Output is the number of product the facility is producing per workshift
2) You are limited to 20 resources or 1 artifact/machining item per purchase click |
I think the only facility that has an output other than 1 is the Alchemists lab. It's just to avoid fractions in the facility's details, the lab needs 6 hours, 4 sulfur and 1 magic powder for 8 mana tubes. |
I think the only facility that has an output other than 1 is the Alchemists lab.
So a facility only produce ONE of the item its producing every X hour? Hmmm.. wonder how it can support over a 1000 players then... haha.. |
a facility produce ONE of the item its producing every X hour per work unit (which is provided by a 0 LG player every hour).
So if there are hundred 0 LG player in a facility every hour this facility will produce 100 items every X hours. |
Area: Just where the facility is, nothing important
No.
Area means how many working places the facility has. 1 "area" provides 3 vacancies.
Look closer at _any_ facility - there are always number of posts three times bigger than area. For example, if the area is 12, there will be 36 vacancies - no more, no less. |
Interesting, Dalek. Never realised that. But not fully correct
Presenting Sulphur Dune:
https://www.lordswm.com/object-info.php?id=23
Area = 48
Vacancies = 240 (5x)
Same for Gem Mine (https://www.lordswm.com/object-info.php?id=12) and other mines
Seemingly Mining is 5 x Area and others are 3 x Area |
for Takesister:
Hmm.. you're right. There is area x 5 at those mining objects. I didn't know that, probably because numbers of workers, free posts and areas are too large for my puny mind :) |
