I have full saccubies then spawns then wolves rest demons
yes but my question was what i should split them into in battle i know the troop recruiting i just dont have the money for spawns (or evem magic school) i just want to be prepared before i go into battle
I think you shuld split demons around sacc and split wolfhounds for retal takers 1 imp can be retal taker too
first of all save money for spawns... your battles will change drastically with them (cause wolves will not be the only dmg dealers anymore)... it's really important.
in your case, imho, something around 6 imps should be enough (split in 2 stacks of 3 imps and gate/take retal) or 3-4 are good too (3 in 1 stack and another one with a single imp only to take retal)... then cover succubi with 2-3 stacks of demons (or you can put a big stack of demon and cover with those 2 stacks of imps, depend on your enemies... if they have a lot of small stacks it's better to split demons... if few big stacks better to cover with imps)... until you build spawns your only source of dmg will be wolves, opponents will try to kill them and then move to hit succubi... so if you are able to "take aggro" with succubi would be good cause they can do a nice dmg if enemy is in range... there also a nice stack of demons can do also their job...

i kept then until level 11, although at 12 i doubt they can have a good use
187: winning around 9/10 caravans with incendiaries... they are really useful for ambush, because those big stacks of orcs, modern golems or griffins cannot be killed in another way (take retal and kill them is impossible)... horses are nice but as i said you can use them only as kamikaze, to give other troops time to reach the enemy... spawns are weak, if you aren't lucky to strike for first they are useless... so the only thing saving me and giving a lot of victories are incendiaries... you'll not be worries anymore if your wolves die fast or your succubis take a lucky strike... it's enough you strike stronger stack with your 70+ incendiaries... with lucky they can reach around 1k dmg...
so if you wanna do ambushes at lvl 8 (probably the same for 9) you really need them... surely without them i wouldn't be able to win more than half my ambushes until now...

at lvl 8 is better to choose adv offence or basic luck? until now i have had adv offence (basic and bf ofcourse) but have seen a knight with 3 luck... 4/5 he gained a lucky strike... so maybe have a +1 (that become +2 with necklace) wouldn't be better instead of a +10% dmg melee? surely to gain a crit you need to be "lucky" but around a 20% of luck would help a bit (cuz +10% raise enough only incend dmg and a bit hounds... surely not horses or succubi)...
last 10% is about melee dmg, not the chance to trigger luck...
What perk need for 9 lvl - Mag - Demon
For 190, I found that having the extra luck was very handy for ambush's, ( 1 Luck with talents and 4 Moral with rings and necklase). The 10% damage is great tho, i mean when ur incend's do 500 damage normal, add 10% it's 550. Witch dosnt seem like much but every little bit counts.

About Theiving! I have almost reached level 2 TG. When i started i would gate all my units as first priority. Now i relised that i usealy dont need to and/ or im just better of not doin it and getting a few more first strikes in. So my question is. How many of you Thiev's gate ur units, witch units, against what fractions and PVP or PVE Ambush's

to 193: well it depends, but most of the time, i gate hell horses on their second turn, incendiaries first turn, for the rest no gating, prefer hitting with cerbs. But it's about level11&12;)

If i remember well at level 8 i liked to split imps in many stacks and gate each of them which help shielding incendiaries and makes a lot of unit to take retaliation (gating imps close to range shooter is useful).

Also most important is to understand which unit the IA will attack first and draw a plan to take advantage of this knowledge;)
i have a question...
i am a lvl demon..but i cant seem to beat any DE players. I am guessing that im doing something wrong. But the problem is that the rogues finish off the gated stack with one hit, leaving no chance for the gated stack to attack and draw the retaliation away from the wolfhounds/demons.
Any advice?

I would have attacked the rogues with hounds once hounds have gated (and not move it out of range like you did), no mater if minos are about to kill the hounds just after because rogues would have died (or almost).

Then two stacks of demons vs a minos (and maby 1 or 2 survived hounds and spawns) should win.

But anyway, DE ahave always been a big issue for demons;)
thus you play a real sort of defensive gameplay, you should maybe try knights^^

I'm finishing with thieving (I'm tg level 2 and return invitation) and I don't know what to do now:

- or keep up with thieving until level 8
- or do hunts and merc. quests until level 8 and then start thieving again

....................................................................................

please tell me your thinking(maybe it is something else you want to suggest)

personally i'm doin all of them... but more thieving and hunts, i have read ambushes are a bit harder on lvl 9... and in lvl 7 demons are really good for them...
about mq... after mg2 for +1 skill it's useless to continue, if you aren't in a hurry to accumulate elements (it's early to enchant items properly)... also later on you'll find mq always easier and do them without lose reputation...
in the middle of lvl 8 i have now tg3 (and a nice thief ring), so a +1% ini... and was enough easy for all along lvl 7 and lvl 8 (a bit harder now at tg3, imho)... continue thieving and do hunts to gain more + attack, exactly what i have done until now and continue to do (a few mq if i lose an ambush and can remain on the keyboard)...
