| I have temporarily assumed leadership of WG and WGW. Silverhand has some real-life situations that are demanding his full time and effort and leaving little time to manage the clans. I will be leading the clan only until a suitable permanent leader can be identified. At that time, leadership change will be discussed in the clan thread per the rules and announced at least 7 days in advance. |

I just wanted to provide an update to everyone on a variety of issues that have been being worked on behind the scenes.
As of today, there have been no objections registered to my remaining as the permanent leader of the clans. I haven't necessarily been sitting idly awaiting the deadline for objections to pass, but I was holding off on a few things until such a time. The deadline has now passed, so you're all stuck with me ;-)
In my clan mail earlier this week, I noted several positions that would be filled. I'll give an update on each below.
Faction Mentors: Ranor and TigerClaw have volunteered to become Faction Mentors for Necromancers and Knights respectively. We still have openings for Mentors for Barbs, DE, Elves, Wizards, and Demons. To apply, please have a Faction Skill of at least 8 in the faction you wish to represent.
Generals: I have several applicants for General, but could use a few more. Generals will be selected and named within the next 3-5 days.
Clan Leadership Council: The council is currently comprised of: Kotrin, Nutella, Dizbe, MakMak, and Ranor. Invitations have been sent to several others. This group should be finalized by tomorrow.
Clan Treasurer: Nutella has applied and been accepted. She will be appointed to the position within a day or so.
Recruiter: Nutella has applied and been accepted and appointed. We still need a couple more dedicated recruiters. Please contect me if you are interested.
Clan Herald: No applicants have come forward
Event Planners: No applicants have come forward - We really need a couple people at least. Please let me know if your interested.
Much activity continues as positions are filled and people start diving into their new roles. I will send another update in a few days to keep everyone apprised of our progress.

Update: July 26th
Current status for various activities:
Clan Leadership Council - The Council is currently complete and up and running. Member of the Leadership Council are: Makmak, Antviolence, Creatorofwidows, Nutella, Ranor, Shebali, STBs, ZenoMX, Kotrin, and myself.
Faction Mentors: We have 5 of the 7 slots filled. We still need mentors for Barb and DE factions. Ranor got off to a great start with a nice introduction to the Necromancer faction. I hope to see more of the same in the near future from our other mentors.
Event Planners: We have 3 event planners now. I'd like to have at least one more, but this gives us a good start. The Event Planners are: ANTI-Hacker, SwitchBlad3, and Danielns13.
Clan Heralds: We have several clan heralds now. These are: SwitchBlad3, danielns13, Nutella
Generals: I had hoped to have this finished today, but it's going to take me another day. I will have something out on the generals tomorrow.
Last, but definitely not least, I have appointed Nutella as Deputy Leader for both clans. She will be empowered to make decisions in my absence, and will take over the clans in the event something should ever happen to me. |
With apologies for the delay, I have finally gotten the structure setup for our new generals. Our new Clan Generals and the CLvls they will manage are:
CLvl 5-6: Switchblad3
CLvl 7-8: Tigerclaw
CLvl 9-10: Antviolence
CLvl 11-12: Ranor
CLvl 13-14: Creatorofwidows
During wartime, you will fall under the command of the General who is responsible for your current CLvl. The General will be responsible for making up effective combat teams, organizing combat activities, training players, and communicating battle status up to the clan council.
During peacetime, I expect each General to hold at least 4 group battles per month for training purposes. I leave it up to the General to determine AP rules and such for those battles. This should have the side benefit of making the clan much more active with group battles, for those who are interested in doing them.

The "Cops vs Robbers" event will soon be underway. We hope this will be a fun event for both thieves and for those who like bashing up those silly fellows laying ambushes all over the map ;)
