This game cannot please everyone.

Most events are provided on the weekend, and I hardly ever have a chance to participate...as my life is busiest on the weekend :)
It's only a game, no need to resent it over this sort of reason I think.
I'm glad the admins are doing things again, this is what matters.

I totally agree, can't please everyone.
But what is the purpose of these special events? It seems to me it is to give us players something special. I was just pointing out that since lots of these events take place on holidays that a large number of players will be spending time doing other things, like spending time with family and friends. We all have choices to make and I am sure some people choose to spend time participating in special events at the cost of upsetting family and friends.
And when an event lasts less than 24 hours I am certain it limits some peoples participation, such as mine, and causes others to not be able to participate at all. For some of these players it turns a special event that is meant to thank/reward/inspire or encourage them, into something they feel was stolen from them. Thus instilling the opposite feelings it should.
Would I have liked to participate more? Yes, but I am happy I was able to take part in it. I would have liked to encounter these nightmares until I lost at least once, I won all 7 I faced, and had to stay up 3 hours later than I normally would to do so. But I still think it was awesome to take part in, I may feel different if I would have gone to bed after only 2 battles then get up today expecting to have more to find it was over. | could't agree more with Halvspak. Why can't an event like that last for like the whole of the weekend or at least a whole day.
Yesterday i haven't seen any of it and today i got to play 1 of those games, which went bad: ending up in 2h of blank battle for this character. Please dont mistake what I am saying for complaining. I could not be happier that the higher ups are back and making their presence known. Many, many, MANY (sorry for caps....kinda) :) positive changes are coming now. And still some people will complain. But thats not what I am doing.
I am trying to point out that it seems special events are for the players, and should make them happy. But when they are not able to participate because it only lasts a few hours it doesn't make them happy, I would guess it makes them feel the opposite of happy.
Now when the Dragon event took place at ridge of hope I was at relatives house and by the time I got home I was able to take place in only 2 or 3 of these encounters. I was bummed out but didnt complain because it is not admins fault I was not home to take part, but that event lasted a few days if I am not mistaken.
Sometimes I think to quickly people rush to say stop complaining, instead of seeing it constructive. Just as you can never make everyone happy, there is always room for improvement. And when a special event is meant to be positive is instead negative to a few that dont get to join in because of its short duration, a small change in the time it lasts should be considered.

It was a halloween event, with the idea of it representing a nightmare. Consequently it occurred roughly during teh hours of darkness of the server time. While if it was longer it would suit more people (myself included), it would then fail in teh premise of being a nighmare.
AS a result, it was always bound to miss its mark in some way. I would take it on the chin, I think for most events they will take up some time and allow people to participate, without lasting so long not to feel special(like dragon raids). However, for this one it was short, but deliberately. | To MilesTeg:
I agree Halvspak about the special events must be at least 24 hrs, but this Halloween event was only wen by server time is dark and this is a good point. I just be happy to know that event will start at xx.xx time and end on xx.xx time. Otherwise we just need to guess when it will end and when it actually ended then waited and hope for special event.
Like today there was so many players waited and disappointed because no ambush take place. :( And this waiting and not knowing why event is only 10 hrs and all the disappointment ruined the BEST memories about the event... it so sad.
P.S. The event was awesome just admins need to work more about PR.

lol whining about whining, that s just whinederful :-) | | Pls all just common looking for new updates,thats the main point, no this special event, it wasnt for gaining easy mass experience, it was created only for our fun | LOL,
