"Name-calling"

Author"Name-calling"
Ermm..

Wanted to ask Kotrin but he went offline.

I was banned (yeah, it's a few minutes ban but it's the principle behind it) for something I said in this post -

https://www.lordswm.com/forum_messages.php?tid=1867336&page=3 (Post #78)

Now can some enlightened soul kindly tell me what 'name-calling' I did ? (??)

How can I know not to repeat a 'mistake' if I have no idea what I did?
U a newbie or something? :p
Is it this? Because if it's not, you better ask Kotrin.
I think it's newbie and whiner. Still doesn't seem that bad, but oh well.
hahahahaha, maybe cause u called him bud lol
Newbie ... definetely ... like noob and the like

You should've still used PM, not forum.
I'm guessing that was a very short ban (since you're posting already :) to keep the discussion friendly and make sure 'whiner' and 'newbie' thing did not escalate.
My god...

http://www.thefreedictionary.com/newbie
new·bie (nb, ny-)
n. Slang
One that is new to something, especially a novice at using computer technology or the Internet.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Newbie
Newbie is a slang term for a newcomer to an Internet activity, for example online gaming. It can also be used to indicate an individual inexperienced in any other activity. It can have derogatory connotations, but is also often used for descriptive purposes only, without a value judgment.

Look at a few threads above this -

And it can't be the word 'whiner', coz I WASN'T 'name-calling' anyone that. It was a generic question (see the question mark at the end of my sentence?)

No point really, I have nothing against 99% of what the mods are doing, coz I think the majority of them are doing a great job, but seriously where are the consistency?

And banning someone for 'name-calling' for a word like newbie? So I call someone 'handsome', an 'expert' in battle, that's also 'name-calling' too, right? Wold we get banned too?

I can understand if it's a blatant vulgarity, but seriously 'newbie'? Who in their right mind would think that's 'name-calling'?

Unbelievable..

If you wish to discuss about the terms, use the OGF, but keep it civilized.
