| You dont have to give back the money. It is just a nice gesture. Its up to you. What is illegal is trying to extort the money from you with threats or something. If she asked nicely you can just send her something or ignore her. Up to you totally. |

Just the people that dont speak english and dont understand your message won't.

i always return my loot.
there was one single exeption. a guy that kept waiting in the last second, prolonging his inevitable defeat =).
it's not much money anyways... but returning it can ease the frustration of being ambushed. |

If you travel with monks, 99% of all players will give the money back.
Travelling with no troops or just 1 unit is like insulting your ambusher. They get little or no exp/fsp often while they have paid a lot of money for arts.
Additionally if they are ever ambushed with another player it is very annoying for that player too.
I will never return money to someone who does this. |

I would think differently. For most of the player doing the ambushing, I believe, the primary goal is the TG point, not the exp/fsp. I'd be happy to get a quick point and move on. Would you even prefer some beefy policeman beat you up than pocket a win?
On the other side of this, whoever travels with no troop or 1 unit sends a clear message--he/she does not want this fight. Insult? That's too much of thinking along the line... |

| I beat a cop in one ambush while I was rushing to TG Level 4 before the rule changed. It was one of the toughest ambush fights I've experienced so far. :-) |
