3.14. Large transfers without cause and description are prohibited.
This is the only rule I can find for large transfer between two accounts.
Could anyone tell me if it is OK to transfer large amount of money to others with some "description and cause"?
It seems to me it is not against any particular rules,
for example in this transfer log:

What is your question?
Rule 3.14 just states all large transfers need description and cause and that loans need to be repaid within 1 month.
As for the "House" description I think all these transfers are illegal as per Arctic's Estate topic:

is it forbidden to transfer with some description such as the example I provided.(again, it is not about loan, just simply transfer with some description and cause)
And for the house thread you provided, Arctic was talking about
"pre-biding" period. and neither of the 2 rules he listed apply to the example I gave.

3.15. Large transfers for the reason of leaving the game etc. are forbidden. Presents must not exceed 30% of the monetary property of the character per month. Monetary property is considered: gold + seven primary resources (wood, ore, mercury, sulfur, crystals, gems, leather) only. Rare trophies, Thief invitations, etc. transferred as gifts are valued at market price.
So you can't transfer more than 30% per month unless it is a loan. |
Thanks Xeno, I still think this does not count as loan, because it is not stated as "loan" or "credit".

Unless the admin consider all transfers to be categorized into gift or loan only. But this is only an groundless assumption not stated anywhere. |
Arctic's post is about co-ownership. Even if transfers are done after the bidding period, co-ownership is forbidden.
If I understand you correctly, basically you are asking if those descriptions are good enough for "description and cause". This is up to the admins looking at the CAA forum.
Basically all transfers fall under one of these 3 categories:
1. Gift
2. Loan
3. Business transaction (buying, selling, renting, leasing). |

that's exactly what I was not sure about, and it remain unclear for now and probably will be for a long time.(how were requests processed in CAA recently?)
For your categories (not explicitly shown in game rules), I had a hard time fitting these transfers into any of the 3.

The 3 categories are just something I came up with. I can't think of a 4th category in which a transfer could fit into.
Those transfers could be a gift for the player to buy a house, a loan which needs to be repaid within 1 month, or some sort of business transaction.
Gray areas can be reported to the CAA. "Innocent until proven guilty". Just because a report is made doesn't mean a rule was broken. The admins will make the determination. |
