AuthorSend me xxxx gold and I'll send you xx Diamonds!!!
Yeah right!
It occurs to me that many players are sucked in by cheats who are just trying to steal from the naive.

So, just so you know this is completely IMPOSSIBLE and no-one should ever ask for your password. If they do, no matter what they propose or offer, they are attempting to steal from YOU whatever they can get.

It's unfortunate that I have to write this thread but I hope it raises the awareness of the problem... And the title is ofc to get your attention, I am not offering any diamonds to anyone )

So in summary:
The ONLY way you may obtain diamonds is through the donation program in the game. Period.

Yep, Diamonds can't be traded.

I'm still amazed at the number of people falling for lame traps like this.
there is a trading proverb and it's translation shoud sound like this:
"the bigger a group of people is, the bigger a chanse is someone to throw his/her money for a total crap".

perfectly confirmed in .ru =}}
ah... i type wrongly... it should be title but not thread XD
Honestly, the title is misleading, but if it can draw the attention of the same naive people than those giving away their password and teach them a few things, it's all the better!
Pang,why ban??
DarwenAward does a good deed, and for it has received punishment. What conclusions from this can be made?=)
its hard to get not banned in heroeswm. i get banned regularly for tiny reasons :)

Welcome to totalitarism, would you like a slave-made cookie?
This would be so funny in real life. Imagine a case like this there: someone tries to lure a child away with candy and you know his intentions aren't good; you start cursing and threaten that person, but what does the police do about it? They put you in jail for misbehaving (cursing in public or something like that).

Now on-topic: If someone is foolish enough to fall for this, then maybe he/she needs a little more experience. And the only way they're gonna get that is if they get burned at least once. Of course, there will always be those who never learn, but that's just human nature, you can't do anything about it.
It is nice of you to try to warn the others, but I would have thought that with such a strong military force we have here, the respective player would get banned instantly after a report like this and then he would not be able to use his ill-gained wealth, making further attempts at deceit seem futile.

By the way, the title seems perfectly on the spot, since if you consider it a quote, it's the phrase all would-be cheaters use - or at least the most commong one. And since this topic is supposed to help those who fall for simple deceit like this, it's only natural that the title would be misleading (just as those who actually use the phrase are), so that those who don't know it yet will be fooled only by the topic owner, who isn't taking anyone's gold.
Pang,why ban??

The reasons is listed: because of a misleading title.

DarwenAward could have written his topic like "To all people wishing to gain Diamonds against gold..." or something like that, and it would have been fine. But this title, although eye-catching, is a fake ad for one more scam like those plaguing the game.

Now please stick to topic.
I think the Title "Send me xxxx gold and I'll send you xx Diamonds!!!" is the best title for this case, because it attracts even those lame naive players who would never read it in case of non misleading title.
I have a bad story about this. I took this mistake unfortunately. I sent 62500gold for 25 diamond to maplestory123 He ask my password and half hour later he sold out all of my artifact, resources and transfered my all golds. So nobody belive anybody who would like to offer diamonds.
Jep, got the same message from maplestory123 with my alt Lola69. I told him to stop, but he still tried to trick me and to ensure me that this is all legal and he is not cheating... This kind of swindling seems to work pretty well, as most of the players would be glad to receive some diamonds. There are no words allowed here to dicribe such behaviour :).
well...didnt want to mention it...but lol i was stupid.cracked by maplestory123 2.
actually the prblm is,if u ban this characters nothing bothers them.they have lots of charcater by stealing from other people.
maplestory123 tried to trick me the same way just a few days ago. I forwarded this PM to Secretary of course and informed maplestory123 about the forwarding.
I think blocking in this case will hurt because this character has his own clan (https://www.lordswm.com/clan_info.php?id=7607) and is Treasurer of another clan (https://www.lordswm.com/clan_info.php?id=7218).
I wonder how many of those in the clan are real accounts?
Wow. This is actually a great title...opening line right after you read it is "Yeah, Right."

A ban for this sort of thing is ridiculous. Get a life, Pang...and while you're at it, a sense of humor.

I may or may not be on topic in this, but check these few links out.

https://www.lordswm.com/clan_log.php?id=7218
https://www.lordswm.com/clan_log.php?id=7607
https://www.lordswm.com/pl_transfers.php?id=4470745
https://www.lordswm.com/pl_transfers.php?id=4504350

Look at the transfers between karanrocks, maplestory123 and the clans.

It seems those who were involved in the scams had noticed this thread and quickly moved their resources from one place to another to avoid detection. May this be a warning for anyone who STILL fall for these kind of traps. This should be enough proof to deter young players to NOT trust players with shady transfer logs.

Note: Trust NO ONE with your password. Simple internet jargon which everyone should realize.

Apologies if I sound off topic. Just wanting to prove a point with hard facts.
On topic: if you have been playing the game for a few years even months, it seems silly that anyone would fall for this, but someone just jumping in and hammering out levels with out checking out the forums/rules thoroughly could easily think there is nothing wrong with this. obviously in hind-site it would make no sense, but this game has a lot to take in and someone mass messaging people is bound to find someone who hasnt done too much research on any certain subject.

off topic: i agree with every saying it was an uncalled for ban.

ah... i type wrongly.

and also, im not saying i have the best grammar, but maybe someone with a strong grasp of the English language would be a better choice for someone trying to police the forums.
The worst thing about all this is...

NOT that I received an absurd and laughable ban basically restricting my freedom of speech while swindlers run rampant on our server. Almost all of the people who posted here realise I created the topic to HELP PEOPLE!!! (By the way, thanks guys; Sanity and reason shall prevail... Let's hope;).

NOT that the mods may not speak English quite as proficiently as we might expect in an English public forum.

NOT that there are people who were duped and feel this is a place to receive sympathy.

The WORST thing is I have received mail asking how much gold I am asking for diamonds. I mean come on people. I'm trying to help you here but can you please try to help yourselves?
^^ @DarwenAward: You already did the best of your part, nothing else can be done ;)

does a good deed, and for it has received punishment. What conclusions from this can be made?=)Get a life, Pang...and while you're at it, a sense of humor.^^ The conclusion is sometimes in life, even when doing good, people need to be punished.
This topic is long since last update and considered obsolete for further discussions.
