On lvl 8 shrews are essential, and poisoners are optional if you have gold.

Easier to play with poisoners IMHO, but bandits are fine too.

I`m talking about lvl 7, would you still say they are useless? Prince?Thanks for the advice though.
they are still useless .. I mean compare the price building and the numbers we can get .. and we just use them to take retal ? how much gold we have to waste just to bring 1 or 2 poisoners and we use them just to take retal ? not to do a massive damage ?
poisoners are NOT useless.

taking retal is very important, especially before level8 when you don't have shrews.
we don't have shooters, and our units have low HP: we need to deal our damages with the melee units, and wa can't let them die because of retaliations.

poisoners are very nice to take retal for lizards.
poisoners plays just before lizards, bandits plays after lizards, all the difference is here.

poisoners could have 1 HP, 1 att, 1 def, 0 shots and no poison, it would still be worth to upgrade them, because of their high initiative.

to Ishan : My friend, against caravans whose heroes have fireball, then do not place ur stacks adjacently .. Try to avoid it and I think u should bring amulet of luck .. it is better rather than despair

Thankx Pantheon. I have one more doubt. When I was assisting a Wizard in a hunt, she and me used magic arrows.But her magic dealt thrice more damage then mine even though there was only a difference of 1 spell power.Why was that so?

Hi.Can you tell anyone the effects of disruption ray, curse,delay,confusion,weakness and poison and effect of hero's spell power on them?

Disruption Ray
Reduces the target's defence by 3/4/5/6 depending on Talent Mastery (Basic, Advanced etc.).

Curse
Reduces the target's max damage by ((max-min)*50/65/80/100)% depending on Talent Mastery. Duration is dependent on Hero's spell power

Weakness
Reduces the target's attack by 3/6/9/12 depending on Talent Mastery. Duration is dependent on Hero's spell power.

Delay
Reduces the target's initiative by 20/25/35/40% depending on Talent Mastery. Duration is dependent on Hero's spell power.

Confusion
Reduces the target's damage and retaliation damage by 25/40/55/70% depending on Talent Mastery. Duration is dependent on Hero's spell power.

Poison
Target recieves 16+(4*hero spell power) damage each turn for 2/3/4/5 turns depending on Talent Mastery.
