How long can legal arrows be in a thread title?

^^ Just 1 example from many and only picked because it was beside other post
Both were posted at around the same time and both were almost at the top of the congratulations page.
I just want to know what is the legal length so I dont get a ban for doing one too long.
Also would be interested in know what rule(s) this breaks.

Moderators could use the following rules:
Forum rules: 2.3 and 4.2
Local rule: 2
2. The topic header should briefly reflect the main point. Those consisting only of special symbols or letters are forbidden. In case of decorating or marking out the topic by symbols or caps - your character'll be adorned by a long ban. |
| The absence of a ban for the 2nd thread doesn't necessarily mean it was legal. It could also mean that the moderator just didn't see or get around to it. |
| That makes sense if it applies to all posts but this is not the case. It only seems to apply to posts by one player hence my confusion and question so I do not encounter a similar ban myself as I would hate to break this rule. |

I guess I will have to wait and see now if all the other ones which break this rule are now dealt with seeing as it will now have been brought to the moderator's attention.
I am not questioning the decision or ban in any way, just looking for some clarification as to what is allowed so I can ensure I post in an honest and legal manner. |

just curious (after all this is queries and help) is there a rule against discussing moderator actions?
whilst looking for this rule i found these
2.3. The users are recommended to create messages with a header that most fully illustrates its content.
a mere reccomendation not an enforced rule surely...?
and this one:
3.1. Those that have significantly violated the forum rules are liable to ban - temporary withdrawal of access to posting at the forum
I guess DEATHisNEAR obviously significantly violated the forum rules for the moderating staff (not naming names) to even dream of thinking he was liable for a forum withdrawal ban.
In the spirit of queries and help can somebody help to answer my question? |
1.5. Moderator's actions can be disputed by putting in an application to the game Secretary (thread link and detailed description of the application cause required).
3.3. Moderators or Administration have a right, but no duty, to inform the users or other moderators of the reasons and terms of a ban that they have applied.

Oh I see so it isnt actually prohibited and yet bans are still dealt out for it. Interesting
I have to keep telling myself not to post on the forum that a certain moderator might actually have wanted to ban my good friend DEATHisNEAR (possibly because he is in a certain MC but this cannot be proved) and just made the rule up on the spot.

Just another chapter about the "long arrow affair" and the "mod from hell" Kotrin, but a amusing one. :) |
