Author | Market for leasing artifacts |
I think many is of us are tired of bumping leasing related topics, however i understand that there is a huge competition in that business.
So my idea were to create a market like feature for that issue, players could offer their arts for leasing by determining price and time interval of lease, while others could easily search for required artifacts, there were also a correct competiton of prices for similar artifacts!
p.s.: Sorry if this idea were mentioned before, but i did't found it. |
Great idea! This helps both artifact renters as people who rent artifacts! Brilliant! +1 |

Good idea.
Specially if it would mean you could just pick what you want and accept terms to get it directly into your inventory and available to use without needing to catch the leaser online to arrange transfer etc.
Most people who rent need something immediately for a hard battle or hunt and it can be hard to find all the individual pieces from different sources.
If someone wants something for longer periods or different terms they can still mail the person concerned to discuss. |

we are doing pretty well and now but the idea doesn't look bad. |
+2.....dude helps me a lot, i buy wrong artifacts... |
on the second thought, this won't work because the arts remain "locked" on the market and this way the leasers can't use them when they want. the reason it haven't been done so far is because it would have resulted in a leasing market with 1-2 items posted by a particular leaser (the ones incappable for their level) while most of their arts would still be kept in their inventory and still arranged through pm.
sorry, it goes by the old fashioned rule - those who carry lordswm.com in their pockets for the whole day wins more clients >.> |

This leasing market can be the same as the current market. If leasers want to unlock the art from the leasing market, then they would rent (buy) it from themselves and thus take it off the market just like the current market. This would mean of course that arts on the leasing market need to be relisted after each rental contract. |

And how about if you could put it on the market without a timelimit? You could withdraw it anytime you desire. |
Without a timelimit would just clutter things. Maybe a longer time limit than 3 days, but it shouldn't be forever.
I don't see anything wrong with renting your own art in order to withdraw it like we currently do in the market. Of course there should be a 1% admin tax for this service and maybe we would be required to build a marketplace upgrade to lease arts. |
guys :} it looks good on paper (screen) but let me tell you how the things really work. this is not like putting 50 ore for sale :}
every client is different and every deal is different. for example, during a tournament or other event there is a high demand for arts on lease and naturally, regular clients has an advantage. orders for full sets and/or orders for more battles also has an advantage. not to speak for different discounts based on these cases, or negotiations about the recall time/price. the key word here is *flexibility* so, as i said, it's not like putting 50 ore for sale.
what happens if you put a full set for level X on this leasing market and after a while a regular client wants to lease it for 7 battles, but a minute before that Noobie_Noob [6] has already taken 1 ring of whatever for 1 battle (2 hours)? i'll tell you what happens - the client goes to a different leaser. in most cases we buy a brand new item to be able to provide the leaser with the set he needs but in general, this market will be convenient only for sporadic clients. 85% of the leasers and serious clients would still arrange the deals privately.
of course, not a problem for such service to exist but the supply of items there on the part of the leasers will be very limited and thus not much useful. especially if their profit is to be taxed, while the things are going perfectly and without it ;} |
