Might (fighter) DE is better at level 8 because of shrews.

Elves are also good at hunting, but don't really excel till they reach level 10 to use phantoms. |
| well, a part of might DE. you can try hybrid DE with getting some dark spells which can be good in assist your shrew too. |
At level 3-7 elfs dominate
At level 8 Knights and Wizards are the best in defeating tier 5-7 creatures.
Then it's mostly elfs for the lower tiers.
At level 9 it's completely different. Knights, Wizards and Dark Elves compete for the tier 5-7 creatures where Dark Elves also dominate at slow and/or low tier creatures.
At level 10+ it's really obvious; Dark Elves own at hunting! |

But Pantheon is right, Might is better then Magic because you get shrews. |
