The wand was a gift from the admins for new years event. During this period it let you cast the new spells not yet released on our server (even barbarians had magic!) and came with a durability of 2010/2010.
Watch some PvP battles from around 1st Jan to see it in action.
After event it lost all these special powers and durability dropped to 10.
As it was no longer much use and nothing could be done with it most players just discarded it unless they had lots of spaces in their inventories.
