| Can a Dark Elf post a report of a level two DE winning against an equally smart and same level knight? How about level 3? I don't know if it is just me, but it seem nearly impossible to win. | You can refer to the official DE faction topic:

Knights aren't all that hard on this level.
Use your spike to open the farmer box and close in.

Anyways, this would probably be the best way.
For level 2, I suggest a recruit of 6 bandit and 8 rogues.
Knights at your lv will probably have 10 farm, 21 bow.
First, split bandit into this formation, 1-1-1-1-2.
Then, split rogue into 7-1.
Ok, now rush rogues so they can hit bows in approx. 6-7 squares, preferably out of range of bows.
So something similar to this, (The -'s count as a square)
Rogues - - - - - - -
- - - - - - - - - - Bowmen
(I'm thinking this is bottom corner of battlefield)
I wonder if that visual helps.
Now, bandits just go all five squares or 4 and try to reach bow as fast as possible.
Spike farmers, and attack + hold shift with rogues to stay when attacking knights, so bows can't shoot. (or in personal info, you can see there is another way of activating shift, press and hold mouse for X(1-5) seconds.)

Dig into combat logs and you will find plenty.
Mage and might doesn't make much difference at that point anyway.
Take care if you split to much against knights, volley can be deadly.
