AuthorDistribution of stat points for a level 7 necromancer
Hi,
I am a level 7 necromancer. I have just reached level 2 in mercenaries guild and so have gained 1 additional stat point.
Where do you advise me to put it in?
Without arts, I have
attack - 5
defence - 1
spell power - 0
knowledge - 5
I'll advise spell power for hunts and merc quests
Defend , it may lower your enemy damage so you can survive longer with it.

Put it on attack. Knowledge is useless for necromancers.

How is knowledge useless? What about raise dead???
I'd say attack if you're taking dominion of life, and spell power if you're not.

+15 hp on raise, which means 1-2 more ghost (not necessary if your talent is Dominion of life), 3-4 more skellies (quite insignificant), or 0-1 more vamps
and +5 to magic punch
i dont think 1sp for lv7 nec is necessary
oh and a 0.5 turn to 1 turn darkness magic

I would go for attack as it would benefit you more in hunts and MGs than SP would (you are not a wiz) It's not like your main dmg in hunt is from magic punch anyway

plus i found 50 mana to be sufficient for most of my battles

another option if not taking dom of life could be adv. erudition getting 2 more points into your atk esp. in some hunt where you just need to raise 1 ghost and keep shooting with bow
Hmm put on attack I think .. for the Mana 4 is enough, no need Spell Power .. with the attack ur ghosts will kill faster and add at least + 2 luck
I common setup that I see is:

- STARTING POINTS: 5 knowledge, 2 attack (guilds not included).
- Talents: Advanced Erudition
- The 2 points from erudition to attack; 4 attack.
- IN THE END: 5 knowledge, 4 attack.


But I find this setup more effective:

- STARTING POINTS: 3 knowledge, 4 attack (guilds not included).
- Talents: Basic Erudition + Intellect.
- The point from erudition to knowledge; 4 knowledge.
- Intellect gives +50% more mana wich is the same with 6 knowledge.
- IN THE END: 6 knowledge, 4 attack.
I used 4 knowledge for my Necro up until level 8, it was usually enough for most situations. After that, all points go to attack.
In my opinion, Attack, Knowledge and SP is useless. You should just use it for raising 1 / 3 / 2 ghosts :)

This is the same as I did and I found it VERY effective. If personal preference then maybe 5 knowledge but definitely everything else in attack. No need for SP or def for a necro at this level.
