I want to switch to knight for some time already and now I'm asking, if you think switching during the tournament is a smart idea? btw.: I just become lvl 11, so Cavalry looks much better to me than Dark witches, Cave demons or Treefolks (my other factions I already played with). DEs and elfs are not exactly the best for duels at this lvl, so switching back to Demon (lvl4 fsp) or to new one like knight is the only way... So, my question again, can I be competitive with lvl 0 fsp on the minor tournament?

Let's see. With 0 FSP you are missing the following (compared with 7 FPS):
+4 defense of troops
+13attack of troops
+6% initiative of troops
And a lot of troops that you can recruite.
Therefore I would vote against it and would suggest that you use your deamon. |
I'm not expert, but must people relies heavely on their fsp in theese turneys, Barbarians like me does anyways.

No, chances to win with 0 Knight faction level on high levels are extremely small. There is very big lack of army and stats. Look at this example, this is difference between 5th and 9th faction levels -

| i wouldnt advise it, dont forget, if u loose 10 battles, u will be dropped from the tournament and i dont think that u will any battle with a faction 0 char, regardless of which faction. so take ur strongest faction and do ur best, even if u dont win the tourney u will have a few wins with the extraordinary xp and fsp. |

If you're out to try a new faction, switch to Knight and join tournament with second line gear. You'll get crushed but that's planned. Enjoy your 10 defeats, and earn precious faction points to pursue your Knight career.
If you think "knights are so strong" and want to be one just for the sake of winning the tournament, forget about it. You'll just get crushed and spend tons of money just for some serious disappointment. |

The thing is that I really want to play as I knight someday and I'm just looking the right opportunity to switch, realizing that more I delay harder it will be to start. If my predictions are correct I can get around 1 fsp per loss, so that sums to 10 fsp, which I can get them later with only 20 merc quests and hunts... Throwing away the precious tournament for that probably really isn't the best idea. |
| You should have switched to Knight on the 1st of May when you have a choice to pick 30 FSP as a 2nd annvi gift. I am sorry that I say this too late. |

If you were to get as high as 1 fsp per loss, then I would highly recommend you to switch. When starting with a new faction (especially for faction dependent knights), you need all the fsp you can get. The 20 merc quest / hunts are not easy to win. Plus even if you do win them, you still need way more fsp. Let's say you win 200 merc/hunts to get 100 fsp; then the next 20 merc/hunts would quite difficult because your merc/hunt difficulty has gone up while your knight faction is still low. |
Darkdragoon: Yeah, I was thinking of that, but unavare of when the gift deal will be off I didn't want to miss the no durability loss, so I just used that on demon fsp. I still regret this!

one of the biggest weakness that knight with 0 lvl fsp is your troop count is much lesser than people..
secondly..if your opponent is also a knight that with high lvl fsp..he take lesser damage from you..example if he have lvl 6 fsp knight so he will take 18% less dmg from you |
