I'm sick of the scripts!

1|2

AuthorI'm sick of the scripts!
It's obvious to me there are people using scripts to do at superhuman speeds what a human obviously could not do.

With only 383 people online, I bought a Ring of Doubts. By the time the screen refreshed from my purchase (less than 1 second), ALL of the gold was gone. I could not sell a single resource to the facility, or enroll.

There is NO way this could have happened without scripts.
I met the same situation.

so now I copy the verify code in advance, after buying arts,

then quick paste the code. but sometimes still fail to enroll.

and buy/sell resource at some facilities is almost mission impossible.

(e.g. buying ore/crystals from Silent Hill,
or selling resource to Nickel works in East Bay.)
Me too.
When someone enrolls in defender shield blacksmith, all 3 slots appear free.In the next refresh, both the slots of steel and nickel disappeared and within mini seconds, wood slot also disappeared. Now I think he ran out of nickel. I am able to sell nickel now.
you need to act more rapidly in this digital age :)
i usually can buy and sell at exact time but i don't bother.
i used to follow market, was quite active in buying selling stuff but after last upgrade when they dropped production quotas i let it go.

u probably know these but anyway.
1. you have to set your alarm to to about half minute before and have your code in clipboard ready to paste.
2. server usually gets busy at that time so expect lags.
3. you'd better have good internet connection.

why bother?
it's just a game
think again
I think you agree with this suggestion:

lol,you can only use scripts in firefox, still lordswm is very laggy in firefox
have you ever thought, maybe some peoples computers are just faster?

I have an instant internet

I have never had this problem
for -Legit-: You enrolled EIGHT TIMES since you registered in the game. I think you should contribute to this thread when you know a bit more what we are speaking of.

XD

On topic:

Even I get bored, cuz at such times I gotta travel for one single enroll.
I could buy 80 crystals and 80 gems after shift`s end. Manually.
PS: Using firefox..
thank you for this topic, i faced this problem several times (most often in steel works of great capital and cape of spirits of east bay), and i couldn't understand how. i am sure (now) it is through scripts. i don't think anyone would be so jobless to sit at a facility which doesn't even have any gold, waiting for a person to buy the artifact.
For all those who believes that scripts are at work, pls provide cold hard evidence to support your claims. Till evidence is provided, script use for resource selling is still considered speculation. I still manage to sell some resources at east bay nickel facility before these so-called "script users" sell off their stuff.

In short:
The time between I buy Chain helmet and paste the code is really very short (it is less than 1 sec, more precisely, 0.1 - 0.3 sec), because I have a very good connection.

But sometimes I still can't paste the code, because there is no gold left in about 0.1 sec! That is IMPOSSIBLE to do manually, only scripts can do that.
This is a hard enough evidence for me, moreover, it is obvious.
still lordswm is very laggy in firefox

Never notice any problem with Firefox and LordsWM. But I'm only playing for six months now. Maybe there is a secret lag waiting for me in the far future.
But sometimes I still can't paste the code, because there is no gold left in about 0.1 sec!

I'm very skeptical of this claim. If you can click "Buy", then paste the code, then enroll, in .1 sec, I'd say you're inhumanly fast. Clicking 3 times consecutively takes more than .1 sec. If you're not convinced, see if you can click furiously for 30 times in 1 second.

The point is, the time gap is much bigger than it seems to you, so your losing the clicking war is not as impossible as it sounds. I did it a few times when I was bored (jumped in a sucked the gold quickly) :D I could hear a Robai on the other end cursing what he thought was a script user. lol.
Geryon, you completely miss it.

It's totally impossible (humanely) that someone watches like a hawk a factory with NO gold in it, and then, when someone buys from it - at ANY point in time, not when shift ends! - sell in some resources so fast that the person purchasing the item and trying to enroll in one swift move (with a CTRL+V of the catpcha ready in the clipboard, mind you) finally can't because gold is already exhausted.

I can be fast, but let's be realistic for some time.

If you want, we can set up such a contest. I'll give you a day and a factory, for example Mana Tube factory in East Bay, and you'll try to prove me that you can prevent me from enrolling there by selling resources "so fast."

If you're up to the challenge, drink some coffee.
No, I think you missed what I was trying to say. I'm saying that I did exactly what you claim is impossible, many times. It's all in the timing and luck. A fast connection, plus extreme boredom, also helps (yeah, yeah, I was bored).

You might think that ctrl-v of the code is fast, but not really. It's no faster than someone typing in 99 and click "Sell".
I've seen suspicious stuff like this all the time...I am lucky if I am able to enroll at all...

Either a large portion of the community is psychic and knows what I am going to buy, and is just waiting for me, or some script stuff goes down daily all over the place.
I'm very skeptical of this claim. If you can click "Buy", then paste the code, then enroll, in .1 sec, I'd say you're inhumanly fast.

1 sec is not a very short time, I can easily do 2-4 actions per that time (if I had instantly fast connection).
If you've played Quake2, then you would know that in 1 sec you can shoot with 2 different weapons (3 actions here: shooting, switching (longest part), shooting). Of course, it is possible when second weapon is Railgun (switching to Railgun takes shortest time for some unknown reason).

Clicking 3 times consecutively takes more than .1 sec.

I can easily click about 10 times in 1 sec, but clicking isn't important here - loading page is what takes most time (sometimes you have to wait even 30 sec or more for loading a page).
I'm not talking about such cases, i.e. if the time between buying and loading input box is longer than 2 sec then it is possible that someone already sold resources manually.
(input box is a part of page, no need to load the whole page - actually I almost never see enroll code after I buy item, because enroll code is in a picture and loads much slower than input box)

But I'm talking about cases when I had almost instant page loading (I mean input box appeared almost instantly) and there was no gold left, it took indeed about 0.1-0.2 sec.
Manually sell resources during that time is impossible, because you have to be very fast in these two time intervals:

- the time between I buy and you see that there is gold (this is random for you, even if you constantly refresh the page, this time will be longer than 0.2 sec, because the page (or part of it) has to load for that even if you pressed the refresh button at the exact time when I buy)

- the time between you see the gold and you sell the resources (you can be as fast as I am here, i.e. it is possible to do it in 0.1-0.2 sec)

However, I have to be very fast only in one time interval:

- the time between I buy and enroll
(because I know the exact time when I buy the item)

You can't outrun me manually here, only scripts can do that.
Ok, maybe you can be super lucky once (or even two), but not 10 or 20 times.
(I wasn't saying anything when I couldn't do it in the first several times, I did it only later, when it was completely obvious to me)
This topic is long since last update and considered obsolete for further discussions.
