Do not use abbreviation and do not twist words. Most people here are not used to it and find it impossible to read (and when they can, most do not like). So please, make some efforts.
As for the knight question , I guess it's linked to HOMM games, where the ruling family (at least in HOMM 2 and HOMM3, the only one I played) is made of knights. |

Empire could be a knight for any number of reasons, they were generated automatically and were thus knights be default. Like Petitetmechant said it might have some link to the HoMM games were knights were always the ruling family, though I think this is unlikely.
The most likely explanation is actually psychological, Admins like to be perceived as good, fair and just; these are the tributes that knights are usually portrayed as having in other fantasy games and movies. The admins couldn't have chosen and 'evil' faction as they would have been perceived as unjust or biased. People would complain about fair punishments, thinking that the admins were harsh, just because of their faction. It seems strange, but it's true. This left elves, wizards or knights. Elves are often perceived as strange beings that aren't really connected to normal society and are often considered 'foreign' in fantasy novels from the humans point of view. *cough*Tolkien*cough* The admins would not want to be portrayed as 'foreign' for they would mostly likely want the average player to think of the admin as a normal human (not gonna happen). Wizard was probably eliminated because wizards are sometimes portrayed as arrogant and belittling. They think highly of themselves and think little of all else. This is the opposite of what admins want us (the player) to think. This left knight, which have exactly the traits the admins want to have.

| Think I'm going to have to agree with PetitEtMechant on this one. Originally the HoMM games revolved around the 'knight faction'. It also helps as a tool of standards as well. Consider the beginning of the game, you meet a tutorial guide that most resembles a knight faction. The Great capital takes most after the humans, and Knight faction...guess I'm building a theme here, but in general it seems RL humans (with a greater hihstorical connection to knights than to wizards =P ) would have greater ties to a knight faction rather than some of the other choices. |
