i am not spoiling the game but closing your eyes to a problem does not make it go away! and we have a problem, lets say we ignore the fact that the admins are ignoring us. now whats to entice someone new to join the game and stay? they could hear how great it is from friends, couldnt find it in many web ads, and then once they have played for a while and they are like this is fun but i want something to shake it up now! and then they you tell your friend new to the game the admins have forgotten us and this is as good as it gets. how long will the new person stay? game loyalty can only hold for so long.
also the admins promised to talk to us and they have not.

well of course not the admins have only ignored us for a month but how long will it go on? i would be happy to be proven wrong but so far no one has been able to prove me wrong.
i do love the game and i posted this in general discussion so it could be discussed my apologies if i upset people or ruined the fun of the game but i want to try and improve this game. it has a vast potential but we are being ignored. |

If you read the actual thread in discussion, you would know that admins told us they would answer the questions after the current event in .ru
So what if the event is taking longer than expected? Admins have promised us something, which is a whole lot better than what we got before >,>
Just be patient...

| um me trying to get people to realize that admins are ignoring us and therefore newer players are less likely to stay. i realize that i do not have a plan to fix the problem but i have tried to show the problem to other people, even though apparently by doing so i offend many of you for some reason. i may be whining a bit i have no problem admitting that. also do not try and brush it under the rug with admins promised it! that doesnt mean squat they have ignored us before and they could do it again. promises to not guarantee results. even if they are doing the .ru event how hard is it to answer some questions asked to you? i mean even if the answers were essays its been over a month they couldve answered one right? and if you think i am just whining and being annoying why post here? i want a discussion not a you are wrong no body listen we've lived through worse thread. |

| ^^ Patience is LWM greatest feature and with it someone can learn much. While our russian neighbours overwhelmed by new beta features,at .com there's more stable situation thus have too much free time to do something. |
Obergon, i understand that ur concerned for the people here, especially the newer players. But i think u may not realise that by posting ur concerns, you might be doing more harm than good. New players would not want to hear talk about dying servers or lazy admins. What they would be better off with is assurance that this game is worth playing despite of all its shortcomings.
Also u mention that it would be easy to answer questions....yes that may be true. But consider that the admins plan to follow-up with features rather than have us make claims that they're all 'empty talk' and to add 'new features',along with answering questions, would take far more time.
I hope u and others would give my opinions some thought :P |

| Magedrifter i had not thought of that thank you for the insight and i do encourage new players to join but i feel they should know what they are getting into. i think that even if admins ignore us the game is worth playing. as for adding features as well as questions that makes sense but some of the questions could not have new features brought with them like where do you see this server going and questions like that. those they could answer and would need no new features. |
Guys if the admins didn't care about this server...it would not exist...
I am happy the game is still here, and there have been great moves to make it better by the admins. We can still log the game, and play with each other (pvp) or against npc's if you prefer that...so if you enjoy the game, play it, and when the admins create an event be grateful and enjoy that too. I just wish the Admins would log what they do here to kill all speculation that they aren't doing anything.
Also, for the record, the last time I played Chess both the board and pieces were the same...and that game has been around a long time--and continues to be played to this day. Good games are good games that don't require all sorts of 'changes' to be fun.

Gentleman, this discussion is pointless if we don't take action. Trying to recruit and keep interested the new players, is not good enough.
I just told you that I recruited 13 hard core players from other games (players who are usually online for more then 12 hours a day). And after 6 months only 2 are barely playing anymore. I should have had at least 50 good players under me by now...
So, what other action can we take ? I believe that we should create something like a syndicate, controlled by the leaders of the top 10-20 alliances in this game. They should take control and come up with proposals on how to make this game better. Take them to the admins and make them listen.
The power of this syndicate will be the players themselves. How ? Like this:
1. Take control of the money. Admins made this game for money, didn't they ?
We can all stop paying any money for a month or two, if the admins don't respond. Or we can all donate (as in paying) for a set amount of diamonds, if/when the admins do something good for the game.
2. Take control over the numbers of players in this game.
We can all stop playing the game for a set amount of days. The drastic drop of online players should get the admins attention.
We can all start a promoting campaign at a set date ( we all have forums, chats, face-book and so on). A sudden raise in the number of new players (potential diamond buyers ) should get the admins attention.
I'm sure we can come up with more ideas, but the point is that we must take some kind of action. It is clear by now that we don't like what is happenig right now, right ? |

Imagine if that could be done on both servers. If we could get some support from .ru players, we could demand some attention from admins. And as well, .ru players could demand that the war on .ru would end. |

I agree with Obergon that admins could speak to us.
It would cost nothing, but the benefit would be great, because our morale for playing this game would increase by +3 :)
Speaking to us would have even more effect than bringing updates.
We had the Grand update. There were many updates in one big update. It's good, but not wise - it would be much better to do many small updates instead of big one, because players would be satisfied much more and they would bring much more new players to this game.
I'm sure that we will have next Grand update, but I hope that it will be sooner than after 6 months.
Again, it would be more fun to have many small updates than a big one.
And I hope that admins will start speaking to us - this is so important that just one talk could be like new update to this game.
I don't think that old players will leave this game, because of too much slavery done in this game (if I enrolled 10K times then why not enroll couple thousands times more? :) ).
But I'm concerned about new players. |
