Author | A suggestion for the Admins on the issue of Rule Violations |
I noticed that under the effort of Admins as well as some devoting players (for example, Eurena), the cheaters are under strict punishments.
However, a lot of players including I still have the question that: has EVERY SINGLE ONE of them been punished? With no offense to the Admins' ethics, I also noticed that players with illegal actions unpunished for a long time.
So I believe that in order to SHOW the justice of the game, it may be good to announce the efforts of Admins periodically. For example:
1. to show the work log of some Admins;
2. or simply provide a list of players got blocked each month |

doubles this one.
imho keepers don't have to turn the administration of the game into the public show. if you are interested, check the CaA board often and see their activity |

That is the very reason why I rose the question first in the "Complaints and applications - Finance and others" forum. And the fact is that after checking, I found it has but huge number of complaints with NOT ANY SINGLE response from the moderators or admins AT ALL. |
the most easy way to know Lexa activity..

offline since 23 June
Look : http://www.heroeswm.ru/pl_info.php?id=24
obviously that he very active at .ru server but none here
is it that so hard to log in at here for 5 minute and ban those people? |
for moro88:
Hmm, is it 'discussing admins' decisions, talking about their inactivity ?' :D
On Topic : I'm all for justice when it is well deserved and for all, then I would be totally for an Admin's logs thread at each month or anything of the like. We don't like more 'Keygen' players :D |

well it is related to this topic

I understand moro88's expression :)
A lot of good loyal players such as Lexa obviously PREFER .ru than .com
WHY? A possible reason is that they find illegal actions are not punished as they should, or at least - such punishments are not transparently SHOWN to us :P |

The admins have said in the past that when they have dealt with someone then the case is closed and that person continues with a clean slate (if they are not blocked). To name and shame people would go against this ethos and I do not see it being particularly helpful to anyone.
It may be nice to see some general stats though, e.g. number of players blocked / number of players fined / etc.
Looking at Lexa (or any one else's activity) also gives a false picture as I would think they log on as Empire or something similar to issue fines and blocks.
While we do not see individual actions I think we can all see a big improvement in tackling cheats. There have been very many fined and blocked and I would think an even larger number have been deterred from cheating. |

Agreed. A fine is not neccessary to be announced publicly. But how about BLOCKED ones?

After someone is blocked, it is pointless to keep secret: the player cannot continue with the blocked character anyway. He/she can of course start another character clean and clear - no fine, no shame - what is the problem?

As I have said, we all have seen the improvement recently and happy about it. My suggestion is to make the Admins/Moderators' efforts more TRANSPARENT to further increase our confidence :) |

That is also not bad. At least a good first step :) |
A lot of good loyal players such as Lexa Lexa is not a good loyal player, he is a keeper of both games and an official in-game representer; and since the amount of his attention is thousand times bigger on .ru, he stays there.
no sense to whine against cheaters - they all will get what they deserve, since economic crimes don't have the statute of limitation. the cheaters will be fined and blocked, be they on lvl 1 or 15 |
lol. and how about web cameras broadcasting live from admins' houses? :D
i see some people are acting like game owners/sheriffs have been elected by them for a certain mandate. what will be the next demand? a referendum before every new implementation? |

This is an interesting story:
A: I am the manager, I do my job fine, I protect everyone and keep the rule.
B: Would u mind to show us what u actually do?
A: What? U wanna know what I have done? Oh, come on, u should trust me cuz I do all the things for ur benefits!
B: I know dear manager. But is that so difficult for u to SHOW us some PROOF?
A: Oh! Why u simply cannot trust me? Why u must monitor my privacy?
B: Dear dear manager, I never DOUBT ur honesty. But why u just cannot SHOW it?
A: Ah, Ah! I promise that I am honest and devoting!
B: But with what PROOF?
A: U are asking non-sense questions! Cuz I am serving u!
A = Moderator/ Admins
B = Players |
@19. Admins have the authority, not mods, so A=Admins. Mods can say what they want, but they have no more insight in to admin decision than the average player.
There is always discussion about how much admin activity is devoted to this server. I'd much prefer them spending more time banning cheats, then devoting time to saying they've done it when that time could be spent banning more cheats. |
