I recently got to level 6 and have been looking into the thiefing/ambushing aspect of the game but I'm a little confused about the options available to me.
1/buying one costs $80 and although I am happy to donate to the game (I upgraded to skeletal archers at level 3) $80 is well above my budget for a single feature.
2/ their are several for sale in the market but at 100K+ they are out of any price range a level 6 character can earn as I'm still struggling to maximise me AP at this time.
3/ I read the "little ambusher FAQ" and it indicated that they can be loaned but I followed the advise and searched the "loans" section of the forum but to no avail PLUS I was a little confused by the concept of loaning an invite as I had also read that they disappear from your inventory once used.
Thats about the limit of my known options so I would like some guidance as to any other options available or any errors I have made in the 3 aforementioned. |
Option 3 is no longer available:
3.33. The Administration considers it impossible to reach Thief Guild level 5 from the very beginning in a period of one month. Therefore, leasing Thief Guild invitations becomes forbidden since December, 01, 2009. Players caught in both dealing and acquiring TGis at any cost significantly different from the market prices will be fined severely.
Option2:
Current gold prices are above 1000k+.

100K+? Don't you mean 1M+?
If you want to do thieving now, Option 1 is your only option. I know several people that are going with option 2, and are now level 12-13 but still have not saved enough money to buy a TI.
For all intents, those are your only options. People have discussed getting around this, but nothing is really advisable and practical. |

1.Yes, it actually pretty much pays off to join the guild and then get the invitation. Its about 6 time better now then changing the diamonds to gold.
2.Actually they are at one milion-1,2 milion. Not 100k. You missed one zero there.
3.Loaning is not possible anymore, not allowed by the game rules anymore. |

Thanks for all the responses but I have to say that I'm starting to feel pretty disenchanted with the lack of consistency surrounding this game, Having just re-read the guild section in "about the game" it clearly says that a ticket can be given by another member yet:-

totally opposes that statement. I understand that an on-line game will evolve overtime and that rules can change but if noone updates the rulebook how the hell are new players expected to know whats going on. I know that sounds like an over the top rant but as this is not the first abnormality I have encountered in this game I'm left wondering what else I read that is no longer true or what new rules have not been added to the "about the game" |
You know..you can always ask in this section. Its sometimes better than rely on the consistency and logic.

I don't see an inconsistency in this case. Yes, a TGI can be given to you by another member, as long as you follow the 30% rule. 3.33 only forbids leasing the TGI. |

| The 30% rule means you can gift someone, but it needs to be less than 30% of your total wealth, which consists of (Gold + Resources) only. |
