@98: I don't know what necro can recruit at your level, but 35 skellies seems very low. Aren't you forgetting your reserve? Necros aren't suppose to fight without them. | raise build is very effective in lvl 5,6,7
just take a look at past tournaments to see how it works
wgw logo cycles during x-mas time through diffrent motives. | but 35 skellies seems very low. Aren't you forgetting your reserve? Necros aren't suppose to fight without them.
Correct... i was fighting without using any reserves.... will take that into account.
1 more question.. suppose i have a total of 400 skely reserve. i go to a battle with 60 skelly (35 allowed + 25 from reserve) . and i win the hunt, with no loss to the skelly. win gives me 5 skelly . so after the battle how many skelly will i have a) 400 - 25 + 5 OR b) 400 - 25 +25 +5 ? | answer b) | @ Tantrik : Means u do not loose ur reserves .. :) | How To Counter Elves At Lvl 10 ? | well this is a little bit hard to answer for me, as i spend most of my lvl 10 not as necromancer.
Judging from minor tournament battles it seems as if necs have a hard time in 1 on 1 on that lvl.
By the way this is always a good source for finding valuable strategies, set-ups and choices of talens for any given combat level. Most the questions we ask ourself have already been contemplated on by other players :-)
one obvious talent combination would be vitality + either adv. defense or basic eruditon.
with the new properties of darkness spells also dominon of pain + intellect might be a very good choice (casting mass desruption).
Else I would go for 1 or 2 stacks of bows split up some small appas stacks (2-3 units each) for blocking and retal purpose and then i think you can stay back and wait for the elf to come into your range.
here you can find a link to the battle log of a well placed participant of the 2nd minor tourney:
