most of the ambush pros (ie people with high TG) usually wear the same arts:
Steel arts (helm, boots and cuirass)
Defender Shield
SoM
Amulet of luck or bravery
Cape of Wind*
They just keep using this combination, over and over, and eventually...they win enough to justify their time.
Cheers,
LS
*This one is a tossup, I'd say half wear it and half don't. I usually wear it. |
for Margorita:
I watched several of your ambushes. I thought the first thing you need is to improve your tactics instead of complain about the win ratio. I thought tons of things need to be improved. |

I'm wearing mine minimum set of arts, and feel good with them! :)) |
When you defeat a caravan, it's strength next time is increasing by ~10%
When you loose a caravan, it's strength next time is decreasing by ~5%
So, whatever - full enchanted arts, good tactics or even lucky random - would you have, the win:loose ratio will be always 1:2 |
the win:loose ratio will be always 1:2
That's only true if you play an unlimited number of combats. It is entirely possible to get better than 10:1 win ratio from TG0 to TG5. |

I'll race you there! :) |
@24 My statistics don't support these numbers |

I got these percents by analysing received exp after successful ambushes |
Sorry for my mult's post ))) |

@29 I've checked my tables and in 4 concecutives wins against the same caravan type, the ammount of exp revealed no pattern to draw any conclusions from.

Exp gained: 4814 / 5793 / 5848 / 5711
First 3 ambushes in min AP, last with slightly more.
Change of exp: 20% / 1% / -2%
Therefore I don't think that experience gained is reliable function for caravan strength. |

Necro caravan can't be used as example, cause it raises different stacks and different amount of troops in different battles, so your exp differs very much! |
that's right. guess what? since the new update, knight is having hard time on thieving with big map; consider our major strength - guardians are having short leg and too fat, take age for them to get near to chop other.
i still love thieving! |

Do you really get exp from raised units? As far as I know, it doesn't count, but I may mix up with gated units. Though, it wouldn't make sense: it means you'd get much more exp from killing a raising necro than a might necro... |

Raised units give exp. Gated units do not.
There is a diminishing returns to the exp from raised units. Generally the raising doesn't give that much more exp. |
1.Amount of XP and amount of HP has nothing to do with strenght of caravan after losing/winning caravan.
2. Decrease after loss is 2,5~3% only
Everything already proved in previous topics about caravans. I have complete statistics of my caravans (type of caravan, units, XP,...) from 1st February 2010 so I know what Im talking about;) |
