Lots of strange things start to happen on this server...
I was less active in last few weeks cause of some bussines obligations but now when I started playing again I noticed a lot of strange blocks happened...
Reason: in 99% case password transfer???
please... give me some better reason to behave like cowboy on loose...
we're dying population as it is even without this unreasonable behaviour so why making it even faster then it is???
I won't call names but I know for few of those "pass-tranfered folks" that they are cleaner even then some of our mods...
where is end in this nonsence???
just a thought, now someone can enjoy and find for me reason to block...
it will spare me some time in my RL...
opinion of someone who stucked with this game for 11100+ enrolls and over 2 years of more or less worthy experience...

| 1guy got ability to see and block if there is changed ip to some another players ip and this way he blocks as a password transfer i guess your talking about pennywise i think she were inactive and probablity she were quyilty to password move. |

I wonder if these players were reported or is there something else going on?
Revenge blocks maybe? I know Pennywise dared to question someone in charge not long ago. |

Yes, I may be a moderator, but I'm a player first and foremost. It's pretty obvious for all to see that this server's average numbers have dropped drastically in the past months. In the past week, I can't recall our numbers exceeding 1k even during peak hours. This is the first time I have seen this since I joined the game almost 2 years ago.
Yes, cheaters should be blocked, and rightly so, but I have seen some unbelievable blocks recently.
I have seen one player who was blocked, that doesn't even have ONE single illegal transfer in his entire logs.
He has written in his profile clearly that he has a cousin that plays the game too. I don't know them in real life, but since they are relatives, it's only natural that they may visit each other and logs in from the same IP address/PC.
And the reason for the block? "Password Transfer".
So if there's not even a single transfer between the 2 players (or any illegal transfers for one of the player for that matter), none of the characters is actually benefiting from each other. So how could 2 players logging in from one PC be remotely a reason for a block?
If a player can be blocked even if he clearly states his RL relationships with family members/relatives in his profile, and NO transfers took place between them, then basically, what the message here is - No more than one person from the same family can play this game? Seriously?
Why have this rule then?
3.8. The fact of logging multiple characters in the game from one computer must be by all means shown in the "character information" of all those characters with explanation of reason (relatives, friends, playing from a computer club etc).
And if any players deserve to be blocked. Why not started from the pages after pages of complains of players with pages after pages of illegal transfers in C&A? Why 'randomly' picked players who don't have a complain filed against them in C&A? Where's the rational?
Yes, I know what some of you will suggest - Write to Secretary and explain the situation.
But from what I know, the players concerned have written to Secretary weeks ago. But since we all know that the admins/secretary don't log in/read their PMs everyday, the cases are not handled yet?
So what happened? The players get disillusioned at the 'ridiculous' block and even IF they get unblocked eventually, they decide not to come back. And we would have lost another bunch of faithful and loyal players.
Block those that are deserving to be blocked. And for those cases when a mistake was made, we should at least have someone around to handle such cases promptly, so as to not lose players unnecessarily.
I'm not writing this to question the admins' decisions or authority. I'm writing this coz it pains me to see the average numbers of our server go lower by the day. This is such a great game, but... |

I guess they have some program or script to compare IP adresses. If one matches with more then one player, they suspect password transfer. |

IP check shows your general location so it is easy to spot password sharing between two people living in different areas.
For those living in the same house, usually a pattern develops where you can see that one person is logging on/off to enroll with multiple accounts.
The question for me is have these players been reported in the appropriate section? If not, then we are ripe for abuse, trusting in one person who has loyalties to an MC, not to use the power to attack other MCs and not check his own.
If they were reported then that would be their tough luck I suppose. |

Admins can see everyone's IP addresses. So if a character logs in from say, Korea, and then 5 minutes later, the same character logs in from an IP address in Mount Everest, then it can't be from the same person. :) |
