need a warning while travelling

Authorneed a warning while travelling
like b4 the quest start we see a dialog box it asks us again
actually some times we just miss click and a lot of time is wasted
therefore a warning is necessary after we click on the direction button
(switchblad comment on this)
he is correct i had this type of wrong things in merc quest
-1
Only once or twice I've misclicked and traveled in a wrong direction.
Meanwhile, it would annoy me a great deal if I have to click some confirm button 5 times a day.
#3 how much seconds will it take??
to click instead we don't need a warning while starting a quest
As Flour pointed out, something like this would only lead to pointless time-wasting when the button itself would come in handy only rarely.

How many times do you travel per (day/hour/log-in)? Even though I'm camping in GC right now, when I was racing my MG I used to travel quite a lot. And I can tell you that having to 'confirm' my path every single time would've been very frustrating.

Sure, I misclick and head off in the wrong direction every now and then. I think that having the option to change your travel direction **while traveling** would be far more useful. This way, you won't have to confirm your path every single time and if you want then you can change your mind and travel back to the starting point if you headed off in the wrong direction.

Oh, and in case you want to TL;DR, it's a -1

I've got a fan :D
-1 Flour and SwitchBlad have already said why. However, SwitchBlad brings up a very nice idea.

+1 for SwitchBlade3's idea

can't be possible i guess once u click its just done i feel it can't be implemented
I've got a fan :Dlol
just wanted to know some -tive points in my suggestion
besides we do mg quest quite regularly n it always asks us again r we ready?
but no to ask that i feel besides if we miss click we'l lose lot of time compared to if we get a warning.
The problem would be not only that it would take time to click the annoying "really want to travel?" button. The point is that after 20 times it would not stop you from doing mistakes. Same like after 100 market posts, clicking becomes so automatic that no matter how many times server asks you if you are sure, you just go clicking yes, yes, yes,..
Travelling is reversible. You can change destinations after you have moved. There is no loss except time (and you can blame that loss on your own mistake)

Combat is not reversible. That's why it has a warning pop-up.

Is this feature really worth doing?

for SwitchBlad3:
I understand your suggestion, but how does this affect Ambushes on that path? A player goes between GC-YL, then after 1 second changes his mind and goes GC-EB. Then just 2 seconds before reaching EB, changes back to YL.
How would two separate ambushes along YL-GC and YL-EB trigger, if at all?
Agree fully with Omega22's point. A confirmation button won't serve its purpose if you've seen it so many times to the point where you just click yes immediately without having to think.

Maybe the option to return back to your starting point should be only available in the first 30 seconds or so of the travel. So if you're traveling from GC to YL and 10 seconds later you change your mind you can click 'go back' and the journey back will take another 10 seconds.

But if you have already traveled for more than 30 seconds, your destination is fixed. And only during this time there is a chance you will get ambushed. Using a simple analogy, thieves will *normally* set up ambush along the deserted roads far away from any town, not right outside the city gates!

And why not exactly?

i guess once u click its just done i feel it can't be implemented
Flawless reasoning...I just can't think of any response to that :/

Exactly my point. Do we really need *another* set of (most of the times) completely pointless warnings when we mostly ignore the warning pop-ups we do have?

@ Takesister

It wouldn't affect ambushes at all. Ambush triggers would work just the same, regardless of whether the player is going from YL to GC, or changed his mind and went back to YL after traveling for a few seconds.

How would two separate ambushes along YL-GC and YL-EB trigger, if at all?
Sorry, but I don't think I understood that at all...what exactly do you mean by 'two separate ambushes' when it's just one player traveling?

@ Skuwak
Yes, the return journey (if the player should change his mind while traveling) should be equal to the amount of time the player spent traveling. But if the player has already traveled at the least halfway to his (un?)intended destination, then he can't change his mind because the return journey would take more time than the remaining length of the journey.

thieves will *normally* set up ambush along the deserted roads far away from any town, not right outside the city gates!
Don't know about that. The chances of an ambush triggering are much higher along well traveled paths :D
no matter how many times server asks you if you are sure, you just go clicking yes, yes, yes,..

I have the solution: alternate!

Are you sure?
Don't you want to think more?
Are you really sure?
Are you really *really* sure?
Won't you have a coffee before?
Did you unload your arts?
Are you ready to meet thieves?
Is your mouse button still clicking?

You can think think of a random order among all the above.

Eureka!
