| admins are humans too(i think), they have made 1 mistake on rules and i dont think we are correct peoples to try ourself to get result witch we think is right:p |
Clarifying this is for the benefit of the whole LWM community, so everyone knows the official interpretation of the rules, and not personal opinions.
We as members of community(even you and mods,i think) can only give personal opinions or judge from past experience. In the absense of any Official from amongst the Admin team, we can never have an official interpretation of the rules :) Unless, of course the Admins themselves clarify things clearly. |
Firstly, it doesnt talk about tranferring the amount of 500k(assumed amount) to the clan leader. the rule only mentions that the Clan treasury must be transferred to the new leader and deposited in full to the clan treasury. What I imply here, is that the money ,which came from the old clan leader would still remain with the clan,even if there was a change of leadership and clan treasury position.

I think you (and maybe some others) missed a very important point here - You CAN'T transfer leadership of a clan without first withdrawing ALL the gold from the Treasury. :) |

If and when one withdraws clan money from treasry for transferring the leadership, can the old leader still desposit/donate this cash to the clan directly? ( may be after his entry or not), instead of routing it through the new leader? |

| what i just wanted to bring to the notice was that, IF the Clan money IS NOT routed through the new clan leader at the time of/after the transfer of clan leadership or treasury AND IF the Clan money remains parked with the Clan itself,thereafter, the probability of laundering the money is reduced/negligible or none at all. Because the transfer logs of the new leader and the logs of the Clan(after such leadership transfers) will speak for themselves :) |
My guess is that the whole point of transferring a clan with 0 gold in the treasury is to have a way of logging how much gold the clan treasury had when it was passed to another leader. Of course this was done to prevent "gifts" that would come along with the clan or attempts of money washing.
If the money is YOURS as a player and you had only stored it there, then it would be of course illegal to also transfer the money with it as the new leader could use it as it's own.
Indeed, the rule regarding clan transferring doesn't mention any exceptions whatsoever and we can only speculate around the rules using common sense and by the spirit of fairness instead of literally reading the rules. Though only an admin can clarify the problem. |
Until we get official word from the admins...all we can do is speculate and do our best. Good points raised on this thread--I hope folks read this again for reference.
