Could anyone tell me what the benefits of owning an estate are? I know i dont have near enough money to buy one (yet!), but for some reason i really would like to know haha. At first i thought it was a way to make money, but now im not so sure as it costs over 1m gold to buy an estate WITHOUT any of the upgrades which all cost a lot of gold as well. The estate in turn does make money, but to remain a competitive business most estates only charge 100 gold per room per night! so thats like what, 500 gold a day? surely the original 1-2 million gold is worth more than that...
So, if there are other reasons to owning an estate, could someone please tell me? :) I would especially like to hear from owners of estates!

The benefits of the estates are
- Fame
- Faster recovery for you and your spouse when you're in the area
- Additional inventory storage (with upgrade)
- Earning from people rent
Most people only get the estate for the first reason. The rental won't cover costs until a few years later. |
1. Fame / Pride
2. Higher restoration than just renting.
3. Daily income as you already noted.
4. Trophy room for displaying your arts and to get extra inventory space.
