Author | Switching Factions - what happens to castle upgrades? |
I have a question about the functionality of switching factions. I have reached combat level 5 playing in the Dark Elf faction and built a Dark Pasture for lizard cavalry. If I temporarily switch to the Demon faction, play as Demon for a few days, and then switch back to the Dark Elf faction, will I have lost all the Dark Elf castle upgrades?
Does switching factions 'tear down' your castle upgrades and force you to rebuild them from scratch every time you join/rejoin a faction? Are the upgrades persistent i.e. do I effectively have one castle for Dark Elf, another castle for Demon etc etc? |
Castle upgrades will be as you left them if you switch back to previous faction.
New faction will have no building built and you will need to do all of them upto your current level.
It is very costly though to try and construct multiple castles and costs a lot more each time you level up. |
i suppose you could say it is like owning 7 different houses you must buy furniture for all of them but if you are staying in house 1 house 2 still has its furniture |
Simple example:
DE builds up to dark pasture
switches to necro
necro now has up to crypt(level 2 building)
necro builds up to mansion(level 5 building)
switches back to DE
DE will have the dark pasture that was build before
switches to necro
necro will have the mansion that was build before |
Thank you all for your help :) |
I like merlin's example, though none of the furniture can be moved. For example a warehouse building is something all factions can buy. Some people think that you buy 1 warehouse or 1 market, then all castles would have it. But no, you have to buy it for each castle.
The only good thing is that nothing disappears. Once bought, you'll always have it. |
