AuthorBug or unwritten feature with sphynx mummies?
I recently found out that Sphynx mummies either have to be bugged or not described correctly.

Normally I just ignored it and just wondered about 16 ini being around 22+ ini (two moves of them before my 11 ini gargs), and since the level of these hunts is still so low I didn't really care.

But somehow I once looked at their skillset and read through "about the game"'s explanations. And I have to say that I missed the part where it says "sphynx mummies cast all their spells with expert sorcery talent" or "undead casters always cast with expert sorcery talent" or anything similar.

Fact is: The ini boost the mummies receive definitely is sorcery based, since they only get it when they cast, and after having cast the ini-bar gets adjusted.

It's not that I want to complain about them having this ability since there won't be any balance issue on this as they aren't in any human army, but I am just missing the explanation of it.

Or was there a patch that made all casting units cast with sorcery talent? I doubt that since that does not count for my lores ;)

So, I would kindly request the admins to take care of this state, no matter if it is only a string-increase to sphynx mummies skillset or a fix in their fighting capabilities.

Do you mean that there should be something like
"Sphynx mummies: Disruption Ray. -X defense to an enemy creature. Cost 5 mana. After casting this creature gains its next turn 50% faster."
?
It seems that creatures that cast mass spells, automatically regain their turn 50% faster, as a mass caster usually does. Check this combat:

Hell reapers cast mass slow, and gain their turn 50% faster as well :)
The talents that grant mass spells to heroes specify that it would move the hero only 50% back on the ATB bar. Perhaps it's not the talent that grants this, but more like a common feature of mass spells as we can see from these creatures that cast them too.
Rofl that's right, look at their mana, they do mass disruption but the effect is seen only on sphynx guardians, at least that's what I see in the replay.

Though :

Hexing attack:
† Triggering special ability.
This creature has a chance to apply a Darkness magic spell of level 1-3 on Advanced magic level to its attack.

Not only it triggered all the times (what's the probability for that ? OMG) but it was even done through magic casting ... Bugged that's for sure ... :P
I guess that we don't know how it is meant to be, just the allmighty admins do ;)

I didn't think of mass spells at all, my mistake, yeh thats an explanation.
Sphynx mummies have some major bugs. They should cast only confusion and raise dead and hexing attack should work only after melee attacks (no mass spells).
Someone reported this already a long time ago, but since admins don't read our bug forum...
