Which gives more damage?
Talents:
1.Expert offense + Cold blade + Battle fury + Retribution
(count with morale +4)
OR
2.Expert erudition(+7 attack) + Advanced offense + Battle Fury
How to calculate possible damage factor?
Additional question: How influences usage of enchanted weapons (sample 4x10%) sword the above case? |

Thanks, however calculator gives only partially the answer:
- 1534 dmg to 1584 dmg using expert offense vs. advanced +7 attack
But since "cold blade and retribution" give extra bonus it is clear to see which way gives more damage! |
well, we need to know the attack and defence to math exactly... |

True, but I believe that the first set of talents will still be better no matter what (A-D) is.
Minus the exceptions of immune to water, zero or negative morale, that sort of thing. |
+7 Attack won't give you +30% to Melee damage. And since DE is a 90% Melee-troops faction, Offense serves you better. |

I just made the file in excel and send it to richunter,
but as i expected, it does depend on the defence,
Though this is talent set will be used for hunting / merc quests and other easy things where the defence is low, set A is always better :) |

Thx a lot we can say "Expert offense + Cold blade + Battle fury + Retribution" gives clearly more damage.
Second question was how does enchant modify damage?
Sample: 4x10% enchant and expert offense
basic damage * 1.3 * 1.1 * 1.1 *1.1 *1.1
OR
basic damage * 1.3 * 1.4
OR
basic damage * 1.7 |
If sample: expert offense and 4x10% enchant
Basic damage * 1.3 * 1.4
But if sample = expert offense and 4x10% enchant and cold blade
I'm not sure if it is
1) Basic damage * 1.3 * 1.4 * 1.1
Or
2) Basic damage * 1.3 * 1.5
Or even
3) Basic damage * 1.3 * 1.49 (since 10% + 10% water gives 19%) |

I would go for that one. For sure, 10% water and 10% water are calculated as 1 - (0.9 * 0.9), ie 19% |
