AuthorClarification of rules 3.15. and 3.15.1.
3.15. Presents must not exceed 10,000 gold * [Combat level of the grantor] + 250 * [Diamonds obtained by the grantor through donations] per month.

3.15.1. Transfers for the reason of leaving the game etc. are forbidden. Empire is the only character for liquidation transfers.

Many players here are good friends, and they do occasionally help each other by giving gifts. As long as they follow rule 3.15. and don't make it a regular payment then there's nothing wrong with it. But what about rules 3.15. and 3.15.1. combined? I had my doubts about this before, but have to ask now in light of some recent shenanigans.

If a person is leaving the game, then can they gift [10,000 gold * [Combat level of the grantor] + 250 * [Diamonds obtained by the grantor through donations]] to their friends? Or is the transfer against the rules because they're leaving the game? Or is there another hidden rule (there seems to be quite a few of these around) concerning 'leaving the game' presents and gifts?
transfer is forbidden in case of leaving except to empire... Else you can use the 3.15

3.15.1 had been added to avoid a massive multi account leaving the game to support main!
well if you are quitting game i'm rdy to take risk.. send em over
#3 naapa, please do not joke with this rule or add joke on your post please!
(joke) I Will take the ring to mordor (joke)

(joke intended)(joke here^^)

It appears that rule 3.15.1 is silly, because it is easily circumvented. Just don't tell anyone that you're quitting.
for Geryon:

Without a proper description, it would be bad.

Yes I know what this topic specifically refers to.... or whom, for that matter. I was going to ask the same questions that SwitchBlad3 has... except that 3.15.1 makes it pretty clear.... unfortunately :(
for ipslne: It doesn't have to be a true description. Just don't tell anyone that you're quitting, and write in the description that you're simply giving a gift (within 3.15.).
yeah you guys think too much over unneccesary things. how can you be punished if you dont say that you're leaving? what if you send over the gift, and then you die the next day so you never come online again.. the admins cant prove that you left the game so just send over the gift and leave without telling anyone...
Exactly. So unless the donor writes in the transfer description, or expressly communicates with the recipient (or through any third party) that he is leaving the game, it would seem there is no culpable act on the part of the recipient for accepting the gift, as far as 3.15. permits.

Of course this is only relevant to genuine cases of players leaving the game, by way of circumventing 3.15.1.
transfer is forbidden in case of leaving except to empire

i will rather take a risk and transfer money to a friend in need than give to the empire :P
if the player didn't leave the game after all, the farewell gifts were simply false descriptions and should be legal within rule 3.15.
transfer is forbidden in case of leaving except to empire... Else you can use the 3.15
Too bad that almost every single player who has 'quit' seems to not know about that rule.

For those who're thinking about circumventing the rule with false descriptions, 0.8 seconds of looking on the character profile/transfer page/combat log will give any admin all the info he needs...because the wording of the rule 3.15.1. leaves it open to not just 'leaving the game gifts'
Lol , you all know what those rules means and how to be caught red handed in case of leaving game! Financial assistance is "always" forbidden! So please do not dig some other deep hole and do not misslead new players!
This topic is long since last update and considered obsolete for further discussions.
