Well, finally had a chance to read the official announcement on Fourth Anniversary to the very end.
"The Administration plans to initiate a merge of two servers of the game (so called .com and .ru servers) in the next few months. After its successful initiation it will bring all of the Lords the vast variety of opportunities, and will secure the continuous progress and development of the game with the opportunities for everyone to enjoy!

So yeah, it's no longer a "rumor" and now we have our time frame - next few months

Lets wait and see how they choose to solve all the problems with the merge b4 we celebrate....
How will the language interface end up? What about forums?
What are they doing about people who has characters on both servers (especially those who have donated diamonds on both server?
Are we going to get any form for fsp compensation after they have received bonuses, or are we going to be second grade heroes?
What are they going to do with estates?
And many more questions, if they do the merge in a fair and good way then I am very happy, if not... |

| The people whining about the server merge would whine either way. I think it will be a great thing for 90% of us. The language may be a barrier, but not as big of a barrier as people are making it out to be. Having an english version of the game to use with out a translator will fix most of the problem. I play on .ru right now and am able to communicate. Many of the players on .ru already know basic english. Im not saying it will be perfect. Im saying the benefit will way out way the inconvenience and the language barrier is less of a problem than some people like to make it out to be. We just finished up a 2 week war on .ru that involved step barbarians (new faction to be released this summer), amphibians, Knights of the sun and a demon invasion. It was awesome. |

It is way to early to say if this merge will be good or not. Lets wait and see.
As I said b4 there is many many places this can go wrong and admin need to stay alert and do some hard work for it to succeed. Both the technical issues and also to avoid .com hero to be second class heroes . |

Interesting our top-10 players here will not be even in top-100 after the merge. And they can skip 16 CL and go to 17 level at once. Or even 18, who knows?
And strange that admins did not introduce the box of gifts??? |

.ru and .com is like elephant and ant. They will not even notice us. But still it should be better for most .com-players because we will have all that they have.
Maybe it will be a good chance for many players to learn Russian. Knowing languages is always a good thing:) |
