AuthorChance for accused to defend themselves

Like who? Care to give specific examples and proof? I saw your thread about wiz_king and the blocks that followed. No one there was blocked for the "gifts" they received from wiz_king. They were blocked for different reasons.

No, they weren't blocked, but they were fined. They could have avoided that if they were informed.

Read your own post #3. You were talking about people getting "blocked" not "fined". Also:

3.15.3. Presents exceeding that maximum are subject to immediate return to the grantor or to Empire.

I see one of them got "fined" exactly the same amount that he received as a gift. The rule I quoted is a warning that Empire will "steal" back any illegal gifts it finds (or chooses to see). Should the Empire had messaged that guy to voluntarily give back the gold? Seems redundant to me. In any case, it was his fault that he didn't return the gold. But he didn't really lose anything so I don't see a problem there.

Man, its not every time that the same thing happens. Anyways, you didn't like the idea, I get it. Let's end the discussion here before it becomes heated.
And by the way, I forgot to mention something. When the empire takes away gold above gifting limits or something like that, yes, they take only as much gold as was received, hence no loss to players. But, you know, that bold black line in your transfer log that says "you have been fine" makes a bad impression to anyone casually going through their transfer logs.

Cite some instances and examples, then. When and who was ever blocked or given "fines" exceeding the illegal "gift" they received. What exactly are you trying to prevent with this suggestion?

What are you talking about? I haven't even started warming up yet.

1. Easily avoided by setting transfer limit. You're own responsibility to check your transfer log if you don't set it.

2. No one cares about fines. Anyone dumb enough to judge you from the "fines" on your log are not worth listening to. I don't see a problem here. Who cares about that kind of "impressions", anyway? I see people with million gold fines and they're okay in my book. They actually sound as if they're proud of it. Wear it like a battle scar! XD
for Grusharaburas:
Please stay on topic. 'Heating up' discussion can lead to provoking an insult and as such is strictly forbidden.
As BB rightly pointed out, please on topic.

As for the topic, reading into your debate, I think it is indeed one's responsibility to check their transfer log. And vlaer,no really cares about that, everyone makes mistakes, its just how you carry them that makes the difference ;)
Still +1

Only reasonable to get a message warning you that you can get punished for someone else action!!

My gold varies a lot, going up and down in the 6 digits depending on resources, tournaments etc.

And yes I would get mad to get a fine for not cheeking my transfer log to see if someone has send me something illegal. You can try to make it about "impressions", but it is more the principle rather then anything else.
